Wes in the cross-hairs?

Look like we are going to have a go at seriously brining Wes back to the City ground as Nat Jackson has just posted:

I understand #nffc have put a bid in for #lcfc captain Wes Morgan but it has been rejected. More on @bbcemt at 1830

May not think anything from this but one journo who has been reliable recently has stated that Wes is keen on the move and wants to come back as he said:

NottmJournalist ‏@NottmJournalist 3m
Said earlier in the week Billy was given the green light to bid for Morgan. Latest bid rejected. Player reportedly wants move. #nffc #lcfc

Wes Morgan once a red, always a red!

Thought's from both sets of fans?

Think Wes and Halford could be quite formidable in the centre of defence with Jara and Lichaj. Also supposedly close to gaining Laure as well

And we have finally enquired about Billy Sharp!!!

"I think its clear Wes wants to come back and play for King Billy rather than that miserable runt Pearson."

I've not seen Wes say anything anywhere about this so would you define the word 'clear' for me Pep, your definition seems to contradict my definition

I don't believe Wes's agent is behind the rumours of a bid/interest from Forest to up the contract demands as Natalie Jackson confirmed Forest had come in for him.

Leicester City said Wes is not for sale
In the Leicester Mercury

Depends on whether the player wants to stay, not always down to the club.... you should know that's how it is these days.

Very true Pep.

Still waiting on your definition of the word 'clear'.

Ok ...here's my take on it....the FACT that Forest have made an offer. Don't you think conversations have gone on behind the scenes to establish whether he would be willing to comeback? Do you not think that Wes has continual contact with people at the City Ground? He must be open to it..has Wes come out and said he does not want to leave you lot? Not that I know he hasn't. This kind of thing goes on all the time and the FACT that we have put in an offer is to try and bring both parties (Forest and Wes) to a happy conclusion. Is that defined enough for you?

Be reasonable now, Pep - The idea that Morgan would be open to a return to the City Ground (which I agree that he would) is different from:

"I think its clear Wes wants to come back and play for King Billy rather than that miserable runt Pearson."

There's clearly a rumour going around that Leicester are looking to offload high-earning players on the cheap because of FFP, hence Forest's suspected inquiries over Morgan and King, and Hull's insulting offers for Kasper Schmeichel. However, this does look rather like a subtle misunderstanding - We are looking to offload high-earning players on the cheap, but only the ones we don't want.

You should know by now that it aint easy to offload high earners that nobody wants espcially if they have fat contracts.....Miller for us is an example. So you need to be realistic. I think clubs will make you sit and sweat up towards the deadline. How many players are you signing now? The truth is you need to offload first ..big time. Your club needs to take action to reduce its costs and other clubs will shop around. So be wise and let our people go....

No point telling me that. But there's no point letting people on moderate wages go (like King and Morgan) when we'd be looking to replace them with similar quality and wage anyway and probably wouldn't be able to. Schmeichel's another matter of course, although we'd all be sad to see him go.

Still, if this transfer of Beckford to Bolton goes through, that will at least provide some breathing space. *fingers crossed*

Forest won't be bidding the amount of money that Leicester would accept because FFP means we can't, not if we want to stay within it's limitations. I expect that Morgan's agent is doing his best to ensure Wes gets more money.

Yep we're back again second bid £1.5 m think we'll go for a third at least to test their boards resolve. Keep at it Billy we want Wes back
