Little transfer snippet: #NFFC strong interest in Walsall winger Jamie Paterson. #HTAFC already had bid turned down.

this just came up on my twitter feed, thought it might interest you

My honest opinion is that Forest have probably made an enquiry but the guy from twitter has made up the about the player wanting the move.

Doesn't mean it definitely won't happen, but he isn't one of our highest earners so we don't need to sell him to help out with FFP and we are looking to add CBs to our squad not sell them.

I think it would take a bid around £2m+ and the player to categorically state he doesn't want to play here any more which I can't see happening.

I think Billy Sharp would be a good buy for you though.

I'd like it to be true SBD although I think we need someone better than Halford to partner him. Otherwise we've got two big lumps together and not a huge amount of pace.

WHo is this Laure?

Wilson was another lump cannigia but Wes and Wilson did a great job when we came third. Also and it is painful to say it, chambers also did a good job when we came 6th with Wes.

Laure is a fullback who plays for Deportivo as well

Meanwhile Derby are chasing Clive Dunne (aka zimmer frame sick note)

33 years old and won't want paying in rusty washers

Clough to Fishy when Dunne asks him his name...

"Don't tell them your name Pikey"

Latest from Walsall.
Looks like we are making a move for a winger at last

This time last year Fawaz was making his move

Whatever happens you will certainly have to pay a lot more than what we paid you.

Hope he doesn't go been a good player for us and would be good to see him build a good partnership with someone else at the club.

There'd be no point in making a bid for him if he hadn't indicated to someone that he'd like to return to Forest, as Leicester don't want to sell him and don't need to either.

isnt wes in the last year of his contract?

If so and he does want to go back to forest, flogging him off now instead would be better than losing him for nothing this time next year... especially if finances are up in the air.

Would desperately want this to go through, and although i get the impression it might, it feels like I've been clutching enough straw to thatch a small cottage.

This bid was made a few weeks ago I reckon, as Wes knew about Forest weeks ago and told people closest to him to keep quiet.

In that time Forest have let him mull over the possibility, and have now decided to make it public to perhaps send a message that they want Wes to maybe force the move.

what?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To buy a winger. The last one we had was McCleary who had a few good months then cleared off the first chance he got

posted on 28/6/13

As if Fawaz is going to splash out over a million, he refused to pay for george boyd, who went on to become one the best strikers in the league last season.

There is something not quite right, going on at forest, Billy is far to quiet, he never normally is!! Your club link themselves to players, to try to boost season tickets, and then never follow it through.

Meanwhile at the better end of the A52, we are about to sign yet another international

By all accounts he was 23rd on the list. 'Derby standards' best it is then

Boyd scored 4 in 13 for Hull. During that same period McGugan scored 6 for us but with only a 1/4 of the game time that Boyd had with Hull.

Boyd is a average championship player and nothing more.

Think Wes and Halford would make a great partnership.
Billy Sharp has been in Nottingham all week...

Yep, and I saw Lee Camp with Karl Darlow out on the town tonight. Would you have Campy back?

Lee Camp started on someone who asked him for his autograph apparently last night. He is an egotisical pr!ck who I never want to see in the garibaldi again! Darlow is the future!

Wilson was very quick though SBD so I'd like some pace at CB. Chambers had that one great season, where did it all go wrong for him? Probably Billy leaving!

I think this could be the start of the battle to get him. If we keep putting bids in hopefully the bin robbers may feel it will unsettle him for them. I think its clear Wes wants to come back and play for King Billy rather than that miserable runt Pearson.

Wes is in talks with Fester to extend his deal so is all this transfer speculation a ruse by Wes's agent to force Fester into offering higher terms?...
