I'm one of Baines' biggest fans on here but i've accepted he's not coming.

I watched Shaw today and he was exceptional so perhaps he should be the focus of our attentions?

Its laughable how so many on here were saying hes not worth £15m at 29 or he is no better than Evra

He won't be coming.

His age won't merit the astronomical fee and there is a younger, arguably better left back in Coentrao that would most likely want to come anyway.

Then there is Luke Shaw, albeit he would go for silly money, in the end. Coentrao for around 15 million makes sense, for me.

If Coentrao is all that then how come Madrid are willing to let him go?

Ozil is all that but they let him go

Because they had bought Bale and Isco to play in that position and were offered £43m for him

Compare that to Coentrao - i not sure thye have a better LB and were still prepared to loan him out.

Completely agree, shame we won't sign him. His set peice ability won Everton 3 points today.
