Strikers and central midfield overhaul

is needed this summer. I don't think that anyone who has watched us this season can deny that this is what is needed now.

All our current strikers need to go this summer in my opinion. If we had to keep one striker then I would keep Eto'o but only as a third choice striker and only on a one year extension on reduced wages.

Central midfield needs an overhaul as well and we have to find the right midfield partner for Matic. I also think that Mikel has to go this summer and after a very poor season Ramires is also skating on thin ice.

Media reports have linked us with Paulinho and I think he would at least be an upgrade on Mikel and Ramires. Whether Paulinho would come in as a starter or as a good squad player remains to be seen if the deal happens.

We also need a top class, young and energetic left back who can get forward and support attacks. That would allow Azpi to do the same at right back as I think he is wasted at left back.

Finally I think the time is right to bring back Courtois. We've all ummed and arrghed over this but if we don't bring him back this summer and make him first choice keeper then we will lose him forever I think.

That would be unforgivable as Courtois will become the best keeper in the world if he isn't already.
