Rename this 'Tactics overhaul' Superb and I'm with you 100%.

We need to allow more than 4 players to attack. Yes its helped our defence out but our attacking looks woeful even with Hazard in it, it looks clueless.

I have one who as ummed and arrghed over the GK situation, if anything leaning more to Cech maybe out of loyalty. But last two games have convinced me its now time for the Belgian.

We can do alot better then Paulinho

Paulinho is first choice central midfielder for Brazil.

Either way I suspect he would be used in rotation if we did bring him to Chelsea and that we will bring in one or two more central midfielder this summer.

With better players I'm sure we will play differently next season Mr C

I didn't sleep but Courtois should be our first choice next season

That boy is a world class keeper!

How good is Zouma? Is he fast? Might help your attack if you don't have snails in the back four.

Zouma is like the young Vidic/Carvalho type of player but he's still raw!

Our deep line is great at its job. It suits our JT-Cahill pairing.

Once JT gets edged out, the line will get higher and we will have defenders more suited to it. Which might compromise our ability to shut teams out in big games.

Not sure it's solvable. Without the deep line ATM we would probably turn to sludge defensively.

How can you be a young completely different type of players?

TCW, yeah that's my point. JT has been class this season but it limits your defensive line and I think that has an effect on your attack.

A quicker more aggressive backline would allow you to push up more and would improve your attack, but you can still drop deep in bigger games.

We've had the same problems with Vida for a while now. That's why, despite him still being a good defender and a legend, our fans aren't that upset he's leaving - and Rio - because we can adapt the back four to improve the attack.

I actually agree with this

I was going to write an article similar to my post on flashys thread

It's the tactics that need looking at

Plus we do need an overhaul

Luiz
Ramires
Mikel
Torres
Eto'o
Ba
Marin
Lukaku all need to go to raise cash to buy a CM a couple of strikers and a left back to replace cole

I'd then like to see azpi moved back into right back in place of ivanovic.

If we get defenders better suited to the high line then we sacrifice some of our potency when we decide to drop deep Darren. That's my fear.

When JT does kick the starting 11 bucket I can't help but fear for our solidity.

I know what you mean, but it depends who you replace JT with and whether Jose can organise the defence to play both ways.

Before Rio and Vida's legs went we were capable of playing both ways at the very top level.

It doesn't have to be one or the other, it can be both, providing you've got the right players and the manager to be able to organise them.

That's why I asked about Zouma. Vida was never the fastest, but was quicker than he is now, but he had Rio and Evra next to him who were both rapid so it catered for his lack of pace when pushing up.

As regards Coutouis,I don't think that he's in any hurry to return, not now, maybe not ever !

Sideshow, yeah I agree. Your played look pretty good at pressing but the problem is when you're doing it deeper it's harder to counter, especially if you aren't sending as many men forward.

Defence is not the problem.
Midfield is. No incision with speed, not decisive and not clinical.
When you look at Madrid and the pace at which they move the ball, constantly and quickly picking out the right passes to players in space which takes players out of game rather than giving the opponents time to regroup.

Here's hoping

Gonna miss JTs presence as much as his ability though.

No one in CM to take control of proceedings.

TCW, yeah I think that's going to be the hardest thing to replace.
