Morata talk doing the rounds, again...

A few sources (good and awful) are saying Álvaro Morata has agreed a move to Arsenal this summer.

Like most of you I'll take it with the healthy pinch of salt it deserves.

I've spoken to some of you on this board about him over the last 6 or so months.

One thing that was always going to make fans hesitant of his legitimacy of being a good Arsenal/Premier League football was/is the lack of top-level exposure he's had at Madrid.

He was afforded a few more opportunities at the tail-end of this season with Madrid, found the net a few times too.

I was of the mind (from what I'd seen) that ability wise he had/has some very admirable assets, namely he looks a goal threat and obviously with him being only 21, there's plenty of scope for him to really kick on career-wise.

I'd envisage Arsenal signing Morata being a potentially underwhelming acquisition on the fan front?

Depending on the price, he could actually be an inspired bit of business, whoever signs the lad and invests time and effort playing and developing him.
