Morata talk doing the rounds, again...

Morata may well be top class in a few years but that's not what we need now - we need a goal scorer who won't take a while to settle.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - we should get Remy. Scored goals in the Premiership (1 in 2 ratio), won't cost much and he's French which always seems to be a bonus.

Apparently it's the same news agency in Madrid who first broke the Ozil to Arsenal story that this story has stemmed from. Everyone else is taking the ball and running with it.

IMO Morata would be a fantastic addition, however am somewhat sceptical in regard to the rumours.

Certainly has the ability.

I hope AW has learned the lesson (in hard way) to buy established player to win trophies.

Morata is not an answer to this. We need quality striker and that's end of story. Big name striker - Giroud - Yaya should be in that order.

I don't think AW will continue playing 4-4-2, he did it one off in FA because we were desperate. He is too adamant to give up on 4-2-3-1 formation.

So I will be disappointed if we sign this Morata lad. May be we can keep that as last resort.

I would personally take Caulker over TV. Need another DM and Winger too to cover enormous amount of injuries we get every season. Saying that I won't be surprised if he loan Kim Kallestorm as DM cover to Arteta n Flamini.

Except for Giroud.

Seriously though I like Morata and think he would give you a new dimension.

I doubt he's the sort of striker that will fire you to the title, however, there are very few of them around and it may be a case of getting someone that could compliment your playmakers as well as having potential to be a quality cf in the future.

If this, along with the news of Giroud extending his contract, happen then it's probably unlikely you'll get that big name striker so many crave.

However, perhaps it may open the door for money to be spent on Cesc?

I think posters are forgetting the reason why Morata is not yet “established.”

When you consider the players he is competing with it is going to be difficult to break into the Madrid side. IMO (dependent on price/availability) he would be a great buy.

What happened to Draxler? Suddenly news has died down. I prefer him over Cesc. Yes you heard it right...we need pacy attacking player who can terrorize defenders.

Draxler is heading to Bayern apparently.

Haven't been that impressed by him though he probably has talent to be featuring in a CL final.

Fek Bayern...honesty fek them...if that's true then that's ludicrous...Tweedy you have ruined my morning with that rumor.

The 'big name striker(s)' are so few and far between right now. They're either tied to their clubs for the foreseeable future, or will come at such a price that realistically (with wages, bonus-payments etc) you could realistically count the digits on one hand the amount of clubs who could or would realistically be able to tempt the club to sell and the player to jump ship.

As for Cesc? I think that's totally in the air. He may well end up staying at Barce. I think the only chance of him coming back to the Emirates is IF another Prem team makes an official bid to get him. Arsenal have a '1st-refusal' option should Barca transfer list or accept a bid from another club for him.

His agent has said quite recently that it's 'most likely' that Drxler will remain at Schalke next season. Make of that what you will.

As for Bayern, I'm not so sure Schalke will go out of their way to make it easy for them to sign their young talisman.

Relations between the two clubs are not exactly friendly. There's still a lot of bad blood from the aftermath of Bayern pinching Neuer from them.

GT?

Moist, yep that's true. I guess we don't really know. I'm sure Wenger would be privy to Cesc's situation at Barca so it could inform his decision to move for Morata rather than a more established cf.

I guess a lot will depend how you want to play. The advantage of Cesc, if you do indeed get him, is that he's just as comfortable working off the striker and getting goals for himself, like Ramsey, but also brilliant with a runner in front of him, like Ozil.

Morata and Giroud gives you the option of both. But like you say, it's up in the air.

On other note, does any one feel, signing Fab will kill Ramsey's form? Ramsey is doing what Fab used to do for us..

If he leaves Barca I think he'll go to Arsenal.

I'm a big fan of Draxler, really like his style. But whereas it's an agents prerogative to pimp their player around like a tart, the fact he's gone out of his way to pour cold water on any immediate move means I've a feeling that he'll remain at Schalke for next season at least.

Y would it kill of Ramsey?

Ramsey plays next to either Flamini or Arteta.

If Cesc came he would play in the AM Role Ozil plays and Ozil will have to be shifted out wide which should really be a problem as hes spends most of his time out there anyway.
