There are plenty of rumours on twitter of Zaha coming to Forest for a season, even Darren Fletcher (the radio commentator) has got involved, so would it be a good move, or is it just a load of baloney? Is he even any good?

We have enough creative/flair type players imo. If Lansbury leaves as seems possible we need a fit midfield enforcer who can tackle and distribute the ball.
It would be a mistake to assume that Lansbury/Vaughan/Cohen are going to play more than thirty games, plus the other guy on trial Leighterwood? is injury prone as well. This is our Achillies heel imo, stopping a quality opposition from retaining the ball, passing and gaining momentum, that is possibly our only weakness?
I see no need for Zaha, the players we have need to play or be on the bench, no prima donnas thank you!

Surely if we sign him and he gets in the team then it's because he is better than what we have. I don't think SP would play him unless he deserved a first team
Place. He is definitely a quality player, I think if we have a chance to et quality players on loan we need I take it. I am sure SP would know if he has the right attitude or not.

Don't forget Mancienne can play the DM position as well.
We have
Mancienne
Hobbs
Wilson
Lascelles
Laing
Halford
Collins
as CB options,so plenty of cover to play mancienne in MF if needed.
so that gives us
Vaughan
Lansbury
Cohen
Mancienne
and maybe Liegertwood, when fit, who can anchor the MF
I'd say attacking CM is a more important position to cover.

It doesn't feel like a priority to sign him but I think agree with RAE that if we have the opportunity to sign a player if his quality then we should go for it. He was the stand out player in this league two years ago. Man Utd signed him for a reason and although he's barely played since (and didn't do much at Cardiff) he is worth a risk. I trust Pearce to make a call on this one. If he thought Zaha was a big time Charlie then he wouldn't sign him. However, if it's a case of getting Zaha or getting another CM then I'd go for the midfielder.
