'No CL footy, no world class players'

Whilst Liverpool have bought players such as Lallana and Markovic and Lambert with CL football, and now we are very close to adding Di Maria to our ranks ,what happened to the notion United wouldn't get any quality players without the CL?

We certainly have bought better players than Liverpool. Liverpool are not as attractive or not as appealing to big players. They don't have the financial muscle to compete with the big clubs either, last season was a fluke and we will see that this season.
