£20m for Allen!

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/396446/EXCLUSIVE-Manchester-United-weigh-up-SHOCK-20m-move-for-Liverpool-midfielder-Joe-Allen

I know it's only the Star, but £20m! I would snap their hands off for that!

Lets face it, he wouldn't get in the starting 11 for any of the teams challenging for the title in any of the major leagues, so I would get shot of him.

There's no way we would sell Allen. He Has fought his way back into the first team after a difficult period and come out a better player, why would we sell now? And to United? A nonsense story and this article isn't far behind.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What difficult period was that then? The period of being total shhyt?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When he was our best player for the first half a season and had to fill in for Lucas out of position and then got injured. It took him a while to get back to where he was but towards the end of last season he was putting in good performances and he has carried that into the new season. He's a very good player and one who is getting better all the time.

It's funny how he is called a crap after he was asked to do that particular job of breaking up play and moving the ball on, with the injury to Lucas, as since then, in his preferred position he has been anything but that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I must have missed him being our best player. Which 5 minutes were those?

He is not good enough to start for City, Chelsea, Real, Barca, Atletico, Bayern, Dortmund, PSG, Monaco, Juve, Roma, Napoli and probably the top Ukrainian and Russian teams too.

So why is he good enough for us?

For £20m I would snap anyone's hand off. Hell, I'd even take a loss if it meant getting someone better in to replace him.

Rodgers seems to think differently and he has improved us from an eighth place laughing stock to title challengers so I'm going go with him, over you.

He is a decent squad player that can change a game when he comes on. I would only sell him if we had an upgrade lined up

Sell him and bring in Pogba

Lots of sources going with this story now

which leads me to believe that there might have been enquiries at the very least
