Some Liverpool fans are actually claiming that this was a penalty, I see.
Extraordinary.
Football is not a non contact sport. It is possible to touch someone and not foul them.
Reaching out and touching someone on the arm is not a foul.
Joe Allen dived, and in doing so, convinced the referee that the contact made had a greater impact on him than was actually the case. In doing so, he cheated.
Had he carried on, he would not have received a penalty. Why? Because, quite simply, the contact was minimal.
I am sure there are some Liverpool fans who have absolutely convinced themselves that the penalty was a correct decision, despite Allen's dive. That's just the way a biased football fan's mind works.
But that was not a penalty. No way, no how.

Macca quite clearly agreed that away from the stadium Moyes received intense criticism, some of it vitriolic, which you continued to disagree with Not necessarily with him, but that's not the question you asked. You asked where the thread descended into abuse and in my opinion, it was when you decided to patronise a fellow supporter along with several Liverpool fans.
Lets not forget you posted repeatedly on the Liverpool board (more comments on it than the utd board). You were then banned from the Liverpool board. Largely in part to you antagonistic and patronising use of the written word.
Anyway, I don't have the time nor the inclination for another endless debate with you. You have already proved you can do this all day (you have remarkable posting stamina Winston), but I will take my leave.if that's all right with you

You appear incapable of reading and understanding things put to you.
Macca continued the conversation in an adult manner.
You will need to look closer to home as to why you and your friends were not capable of doing that, rather than blaming me.
You will also need to review your justification for behaving like a little child. If someone is debating a subject and you feel a comment is antagonistic, that does not justify making a series of childish, personal comments.
It also does not justify joining other threads with the sole intention of being abusive.
Until you get your head around that, you have no chance.
You want to sit here and judge my use of the forum, all the while accepting no criticism of the way that you and other Liverpool fans use the forum.
It's laughable.
As has been pointed out to you - if you don't like what someone posts and the way they post it, ignore them.
That's how grown adults behave.
Good luck with that.

I feel sorry for Winston's wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend
They must have have some really horrifically long arguments.
---------------
Winston's partner said he was leaving him for being too much of a patronising
Winston was actually quite impressed. It was a very big decision that she managed to make very well all by herself.

Three tortoises were playing in the backyard when they decided they needed some snacks. They pooled their money and sent the smallest tortoise out to fetch the snacks. Three days passed and there was no sign of the tortoise.
"You know, Winston is getting really slow", said one of the tortoises.
A little voice from just out side the fence said, " If you are going to talk about me I won't go."

Nice story.
Not really relevant on this thread, though, is it.
