who spotted that MB cost Hamilton the race?

..........by telling him to push before the pit stop, so he used up the life of his tyres, and keeping him out an extra lap, thereby causing him to spin with no life in tyres and going 7 sec behind

I think the race could have gone on for another 20 laps and Rosberg would have still won. He wasn't driving as quickly as Hamilton, so by that definition he's not in control. But he drove quickly enough to win the race and I felt that he could have done another stint just fine.

Hamilton was ahead before the spin, if he had not spun or come in, it would have been interesting to see what happened. The race sim says he would have won.

I just do not understand how if you are controlling a race, you let your rival get into the DRS zone

Basically the only thing i am contesting

Nico deserved to win
Nico had a great weekend
He got setup right
he got quali right
he was brilliant all weekend.

However HE DID NOT CONTROL the race

I understand what you are saying, but what i am saying is it depends on your definition of control.

i don't think Hamilton ever would have overtaken rosberg, despite the fact he was faster. I'd call that control myself.

I agree that the phrase “controlling the race” is open to interpretation.

The facts are that Lewis Hamilton could not pass Nico Rosberg in the final stint.

The only thing I would dispute is this nonsense about “locking up numerous times” but then the only person that made that ludicrous claim is non other than the forum daft bluffer.

He knows nothing about the sport and just embarrasses himself with his daft claims.

you only have to see the in car footage from hamiltons car in the final stint to realise that rosberg had lewis covered -
---------- if it had not been the case lewis would have been in a position to try a passing maneuver but not once throut the race and especially in the last 20 laps was lewis ever in a position to do this --

that to my way of thinking is how to control a race --

what a surprise WTCBU launching another unprovoked attack of insults against another forum member because he is to scared to debate the topic with him
