New head coach.

Our first German head coach, Uwe Rosler.

Do we think he's a good appointment or another poor decision?

I've not seen the press conference that wasn't a press conference. Perhaps given all of the other "new stories" in and around the club it was a sensible decision. The press will, inevitably, want to talk about Redfearn, the mad Italian and players.

Interesting to hear that Redfearn has been offered a route back into Leeds United and that Mr Rosler has a mandate to recruit a head of recruitment, an assistant and a first team coach.

If this is genuinely the case doesn't that bode well for the future?

Pleasing to see this appointment being made early on. If the other appointments are made quickly hopefully player recruitment will begin in earnest too.

Rosler wouldn't have been my choice but he's got good credentials.

Fingers crossed that we get the other issues addressed quickly and Leeds United has a team worthy of the shirt for the next campaign.

Well, it wouldn't have mattered to me who was brought in, I'll do what I've done all along, I'll look at them offices off a workingman's future and see if they deliver the punch this club needs to feed the mans hunger!..

Well, I think that means something like I'll be looking to see if this guy gets the backing others didn't and hope it works out!..

But somehow I'm in the belief that as soon as the "new coach" takes Cellino's limelight away he'll lose his dummy and find another contract to baffle everyone trying to work out how he got shut of the coach, again!..

The contract Redfearn signed last November tied him down as head coach until June 30 and included a clause guaranteeing him that his previous role as development-squad coach would be available again if Leeds chose not to take up a different option to keep him in charge of the first team next season.

Simply to avoid breaching that contract eh JLA...?

Looks to me like he's actually honoring it...?

But then what do I know, I'm not living in USA it may be a lot different over there...!

Be interested in your response to that one.

Poyet or Warburton but to be honest I'm intrigued with Rosler. He's not on my "oh please not him (or her)" list so let's see what he can do with the right support.
