What I noticed in his early games was that he was making good runs into the box and he was often calling for the ball, but our 'Creative players' weren't passing it to him...
Now It's well documented that he isn't always in the box? I think that it's due to loss of confidence and also our players not releasing the ball early enough or spotting his runs.
Until the other night where he missed sitters, I've always thought that it wasn't always his fault... Next time you see him play, watch the amount of times he would call for the ball and he wouldn't get the pass and when he finally does get a pass he would half not be expecting it to come to him.
Now hopefully with players like Coutinho, Firmino and Sturridge playing alongside him I think you might see a lot more intelligence in the final third and you may start to see the best of Benteke, because as poor and low confidence he is, players were actually starting to play him in more against West Ham (2nd half).
How to solve a problem like Benteke

I think we may need to win the cup to get it, which means starting the season in July
--------------------------
I think if you win it now you gt a Champions League spot if I'm not mistaken. Would need a serious change in form, and some dose of good luck, for that to happen, but I'm sure Klopp will be focusing on that competition more now.

You think Benteke is the reason we are 9th?
------------------------------
I think he's a mid-table player, but no I never said he is 'the' reason. You said that. If only it was that simple, but he is certainly 'one' of the reasons yes.
Injuries, Mignolet and the resulting panicky defence, not enough training time, mid-season changes, amongst others all account for a poor showing, but Benteke hardly holds himself up in grace does he.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But he's still our top scorer. In fact he's outscoring Suarez at the same amount of games. Now I'm not saying he will be like Suarez and there are definitely concerns with his movement but in reality I'm glad we have him.
I'm 100% sure he can score more goals and be more of a threat than he is now with players in the squad who can actually cross a ball.
So yeah, I'm not giving up on him, and the way some are on here we would move ten out and get ten in every season.

Sorry i meant the league cup Introducing, that gets you the spot in the 3rd qualifying round.
Obviously would like to win the Europa but doubt we are anywhere near good enough.

Even Owen gets peed off with Benteke when commentating, now we know Owen is a cabbage but if he knows anything its about a strikers movements positions etc, found myself agreeing with him the other night for what seems like the first time but he does stick up for him missing chances when hes in the right position etc so hes not being harsh either.
You don't mind him missing difficult headers etc, even sitters to an extent, hes getting in the right positions, its when hes calling for balls standing miles offside or numerous times hes at half way line despite our left back being near their corner flag How is Brad Smith out most forward player, no wonder we find it hard, Benteke isn't pinning their defence back, they have no one to mark so dont even have to drop deep etc.

Also when Tekkers actually manages to make it in the box he is a statue, he wants the ball stood up instead of making runs all strikers should be making.

I don't think we should do that, but we could transform this team if we were to bring in 4-5 top quality players to starting roles and then either relegate other players such as Lallana and Milner to the bench (they are squad players after all).
For me I think we would be better off bringing in another striker / inside forward (like we were going to with Teixeira) and move Benteke on, as I feel Klopp wants to play a system that involves movement and quick thinking, and Benteke just doesn't have that.
I'm also very much in the selling Mignolet camp as we need commanding leaders in goal and at centre back, not a bag of nerves.
I don't think we need to overhaul the whole squad, just bring in a few quality players, get rid of the surplus and promote the youth.

He needs to get into the six yard area more. Every time the likes of Ibe or Smith were getting to the byline the other night they were putting it in there, if he gambles and gets in there it's a tap in, I just don't get why he never seems to be there. Any natural goalscorer would be in there every time, he needs to gamble more often.

Thinking back to his volley miss the other night, perfect example how he just likes to stand still waiting for the ball to come to him. It got to him that time as Studge was on and Tekkers seemed to be more int he No.10 role behind so he found himself free near peno spot as studge or someone took the 2 cbs to the 6 yard box.

I certainly agree with this, but I did see some positive things from him against the Hammers in terms of using his physique and holding the ball up well.
Playing with the likes of Coutinho and Sturridge will help Benteke a lot I feel. Ibe has a lot of ability, but he is still raw, and it appears at times that he isn't on the same wave length as his team mates, he is still a greedy player, and his final ball is awful which hasn't helped Benteke one bit when they've played together.
I'm unsure whether Benteke will be here next season. I like the idea of him as a plan b, but I don't see him being happy with that. To become a plan a option, he needs to improve his positioning and his movement.
