Firmino

Should he be dropped for Sturridge?

And why?

And firmino is alot better so makes sense

Sturridge is a more clinical finisher and natural centre forward, but Firmino offers a lot more for the team that what Sturridge does.

Sturridge is a very good option to have on the bench if Liverpool need a goal. But I don't see any reason why Liverpool should drop him right now unless it's necessary of course.

Sturridge for the injured Lallana and interchanging roles with Mane on the right. Firmino slightly withdrawn as a second striker interchanging roles with Couts on the left. Hendo with on of Can or Wij in midfield.

Both players have their strengths but Firmino's intense pressing makes him better suited for our style of play.
Against Sunderland, I would start both as we are bound to have many chances in that game.

Play both.

But if Sturridge doesn't feature and we bring in Wij, you'd have to say the writing on the wall for him

Sturridge has insane ability but Firmino is better for the team.

Been the case since day 1 of Klopp's arrival, and now Firmino is playing amongst the best football in the league from forward players, there is no need to leave him out.

His finishing is not in Sturridges class, but we wouldn't make as many chances as a team without him so that's irrelevant really.

Sturridge is perfect for being an attacking sub, because he instantly gets on with it with his pace and power against worn out defenders. Some of his best performances for us have been as a sub.

Klopp should probably bring him on a bit earlier sometimes, but it's just not his style to make changes before 70 mins too often.
