Can you be taken seriously on here and not know what kind of trainer a Samba is?
Surely it forms part of the fabric of football over the past 40 years. You either had them or wanted then cos your Dunlop green flash were 5hite for football.
I've put it on the dogs board too, I'm feeling sorry for them but doubt they'll have an opinion anyway.

Sorry Scouse, they're banned. Leave black marks on the court.

Iwas, actual shoes shown on link for illustrative purposes only, mine have non-marking soles sir (honest)!

New Balance or Asics these days π

Sorry but you can shove your panties del oro, new balance, asics or whatever. Sambas have stood the test of time. Ooze quality with simple understated styling, they say the wearer has a couple of quid as he can knock about in a pair of £50 trainers but doesn't need to rub your face in it.

Well, if it floats your boat, Rameses

I have Samba: I've not been without a pair since the late 80's.
Fashions come and fashions go but Samba will always be acknowledged and respected. I'd go as far as to say I'd be predisposed to getting along with new folk if they were wearing Samba when I met them, but considering Iwas and Rameses' endorsements I can now see that they're for everybody, including that pair of kn0bs.

And I always thought we might hit it off
Sounds like having Sambas is a bit like keeping a pet ?

Samba, Mamba, Bamba. Part of the fabric of growing up.
