Whilst most of us seem to agree at the very least it leaves a bit of a sour taste, to me there seems to be a bit of an over reaction to Jose's latest comments. Last night he criticised our attacking players for not killing the game...he was right! we had some real clear cut chances to bury the tie. Performance wise it was near perfect for an away European tie. The caused us very little problems grabbed an away and should have had more.
I understand the frustration with the draws but what else could Jose do tonight? He brought on Martial for Lingard (an attacking sub) which a lot of his critics had been whinging about and Martial did precisely f all, and looked completely disinterested to boot. Ibra was strolling around midfield, the one time he found himself in the box forced a good save from the keeper.
A lot of people complaining about the Fellaini sub as well. That did not bring Anderlecht on to us in anyway...we were still attacking...they had one chance and we didn't deal with it. Jose has to take most of the blame for where we find ourselves this season, but not for last night. His criticism of our supposed attacking talent was fully justified. Our attackers all season have been getting away performances like this, it's about time they were called out on it.
The laying into players

You spoke of a culture of mediocrity which is a far cry from 2 young players struggling in their second season for whatever reasons. Struggles that arguably would be better addressed with an arm around the shoulder and some show of belief instead of publicly hanging out to dry.
It's happened to many times this season and its becoming tiresome. He should save his hairdryer for the dressing room imo. His squad is what it is. If he thinks it'd rubbish as Hector maintains well then he maybe should have addressed it in the January window. For now he needs to work with what he has.
In other words he should shut the fack up and get on with it.

I logged in just to say how much I agree with this.
Some facts
1. We had martial, rashford, myhki, zlatan until recently had fantastic goal scoring records, great finishers
2. Under new management every fracking one cannot convert chances regularly even the highest goal scorer.
3. We have the most uninspired attacking style. Every attacking chance created has stemmed from the players creating it themselves. We are creating chances but they are not easy ones.
4. If you have well known finishers not finishing chances, coaching them how to finish might help.
I'm not going to blame a whole group of players over one management team.

Pogba signing was as much a mark of intent as anything, just as hiring Jose was, We're Man Utd, we're minted and despite a few years of mediocrity, we're still relevant.
Zlatan won't let the changing room turn on Jose, he's only been in it a little while but you can bet your life he's the dominant voice, he's a winner and he sees that in Jose too. I don't think this squad will be together much longer, Jose isnt happy with its components.

Wishful thinking. One problem with ibra is his obvious lack of permanence in his future with us. His voice goes only so far. I'll venture the likes of Rooney, carrick and Herrera have a louder voice when the chips are down. Heck smalling was captain for a while.
Look he can probably get away with this this year but next year it will be full on Chelsea from last year. He needs to be careful, work on the fracking basics not just criticizing like has done his best. HE HASNT!

Youre not seriously suggesting Rooney, Carrick, Herrerrs or Smalling can compare to The leadership qualities of Zlatan? Nice guys, decent players but no more than that. United should have more leaders than they currently do.
The past 3-4 years has seen United decline in quality. Jose cannot be blamed for the rubbish he has inherited and he's right to call out the younger under performers, if they want a future at United they need to improve.

I'd agree with Rooney and Smalling, but I think that Herrera and Carrick offer something in terms of leadership. They are the ones that I see trying to organise the team and get players going when they are on the pitch. Zlatan seems to have a few whispers in peoples' ears during the game, but he also does a lot of arm waving when it isn't going his way. Not what you want to see from a leader.

Jose had another natural leader in his squad but marginalised and eventually got rid him

You see them more than me so you might be right. I just think he offers more on the 'mentality' side, he's a winner whereas Hererra and Carrick have been pivotal parts of the on-going demise of united.

Who? Surely not the globetrotting tennis fan, more interested in playing golf than banging the manager's door down demanding to know why he isn't playing.

What? Herrera has been our best CM this season and Carrick has been pretty good when he has played too. That's not to say that Carrick doesn't need replacing, but he done ok this season.
I take accept what you say about Zlatan though in terms of his wining mentality.
