Not bringing on Fellaini and taking Rashford off?
If he was not happy with the way we were playing or the tempo, why did he do nothing about it?
The excuses have to stop. We've seen this happen a few times this season.
He brought on Martial, supposedly one of the world's best attacking talents. I'm curious though what would people like him to say after a game like?
When I read the tickle title I thought someone was finally calling out the perpetual complainers on the board. Those who were criticising the player's even after the 3-0 win at Sunderland.
Wastefulness in front of goal cost us last night, and the Fellaini substitution was unnecessary. When he needed him to step up defensively he completely lost his man, and we all know he offer very little creativity. A very strange substitution that, whilst I can understand the logic, I didn't agree with - we shouldn't be trying to see out 1-0 wins against a team we've dominated for most of the game.
I don't accept the criticism that Mourinho gets over Martial. You need to take your chances when you get them, and he's had plenty of minutes on the pitch this season. If he can be utterly ineffective for 30 minutes in a game like the one last night, against that level of opposition, then it's the player who's at fault.
The Muppets that say 'you can't lay into players in public' or 'these things should be kept in-house/behind closed doors' are livingnin cloud cuckoo land.
Players get paid fortunes yet the appeasers think they should be treated with kid gloves and wonder why the same players are mentally weak.
The attitudes from Rashford and Martial recently have been night and day.
Rashford has really knuckled down in the past few months.Granted not everything is coming off for him but the desire and application is there.Rate Martial that I do the same simply cant be said about him.

Its not about treating the players with kids gloves. It is more about not laying into them in public. Tear them a new one behind closed doors by all means, but he digs his players out in public pretty much every week.
SAF did this very very rarely and has spoken himself about the benefit of protecting his players from public criticism. But I suppose he was living in cloud cuckoo land too?
We've had players kick up a fuss with Moyes,LVG and now Jose.Cant always blame the management can we ?

I agree. Rashford has kept working and I thought he did well last night. Martial played like a player who has no confidence. He didn't look like he had the conviction to beat his man and seemed to be hiding from the ball. He actually looked like a player that knew he was on the way.
Jose isn't Fergie though is he, a completely different manager. Why should any manager protect his players when everyone can see they're not playing Tom their full potential.
It's laughable the way players confidence is perceived as so fragile they can't handle criticism.
When SAF did publicly criticise players it was in his early time at United.Once he found the foundation and players he knew he could rely upon and deserved protection he gave it.
But this whole back and fourth between what SAF used to do and what our current management,or passed since SAF retired, are doing is getting, frankly, tiresome.Sooner or later United fans need to move on from SAF.

You seem to be missing the point. A manager can lay into his players as much as he wants in private. But doing it in public only serves to put more pressure on them. Despite the fact that they get paid huge amounts of money, footballers are still people. Some of them will be able to deal with that added pressure, some won't. So why take the risk by digging them out in public and allowing the media to make a circus of the whole situation? Better to deal with it in house.
Jose is the king of deflection and he is at it again. To be honest, I think what he had said regarding the forwards is a fair comment. But he has only brought it up to draw attention away from the fact that he isn't doing that great a job. Staying true to his MO.
