Fifa 17 Tournament Profiles Rank: 17 - 24

Andrei

Ranking: 17

Tournament Record: QF

Chances of winning a Tournament in Fifa 18: If he aint returning, then none.

Andrei who contested a few tournaments in the old era, returned once again to test his fifa skills. His only tournament appearance was in the ‘Ligue 1 Tournament’ where he negotiated a difficult group with a decent amount of qualification places. Who knows what could’ve happened had he not lost to Oscar in the Quarter-Finals. He had the measure of Tyke who would’ve been his next opponent in the old era, so it could’ve been interesting. Says he won’t be returning for Fifa 18.

Boo

Ranking: 18

Tournament Record: GS – QF - GS

Chances of winning a Tournament in Fifa 18: More chance of a Boo Radleys duet with The Beatles

Arriving in the ‘League Two Tournament’ Boo has made somewhat of an impression. His debut saw him finish bottom in a kind group consisting of Mr A and Oscar. His second outing was much better, navigating a group he wasn’t expected to qualify from holding Hugo to a 2 – 2 draw of which the dropped points eliminated the then ranked number one player. He lost to Tyke in the Quarter-Finals but wasn’t humiliated. He came close to eliminating another champion in ‘the championship tournament’ when he beat Junior in the Group stages, Junior just survived on goal difference. It will be interesting to see how Boo does on Fifa 18

Nadz

Ranking: 19

Tournament Record: GS – GS – GS –GS

Chances of winning a Tournament in Fifa 18: Nada.

Four tournaments, four group stage exits. Nadz seems to know a lot about Fifa, but that knowledge is not transferring into performances and has resulted in some bad showings. His most notable showings were ‘The Revival Tournament’ in which he got to a play-off to progress into the knock-outs against Ludy and beating Junior in the ‘League Two Tournament’. Nadz is just as good if not better than the likes of Kami, Mr A and Boo, but he hasn’t showed that in this Fifa cycle.

A.49

Ranking: 20

Tournament Record: GS

Chances of winning a Tournament in Fifa 18: Choice City has more chance

A.49 came for one tournament, the ‘9 team tournament’ and accumulated six points in a fairly easy group finishing third, beating Stringer twice but mullered by Hugo and Louis. So from his solitary tournament showing, I think it’s safe to say he was never going to challenge for the trophy. Also he was never heard from again so that probably contributes too.

Trebs

Ranking: 21

Tournament Record: GS - GS

Chances of winning a Tournament in Fifa 18: That would be some story. Not happening though.

The new era wasn’t a new start for proverbial minnow Trebs. Two Group Stage exits were largely what I expected from him and he delivered. ‘The Revival Tournament’ saw him in a Group with TopLad, Tyke and Hoop$ which he got one point from a goalless draw with Hoop$. His next effort in the ‘League Two Tournament’ saw him in another hard Group this time with Hugo and Greg, he did beat Kami twice though. Would an easier group see Trebs reach the knockouts in Fifa 18? Probably not.

1man

Ranking: 22

Tournament Record: GS - GS

Chances of winning a Tournament in Fifa 18: Players have come out of retirement and been victorious. 1man won’t be though.

1man was drawn a decent group in the ‘Revival Tournament’ with Oscar, Ludy and MTC, but could only manage a solitary victory against Ludy. His second tournament showing went better when he beat Shadow twice and got a point off Hugo in the ‘Last 16 CL Tournament’ however his subsequent retirement (of which he has a few now) meant his Fifa 17 record stays at two Group Stage exits. He recently announced his return in time for the debut Fifa 18 tournament, expect a group stage exit.

Fox

Ranking: Joint 23rd

Tournament Record: GS

Chances of winning a Tournament in Fifa 18: If Leicester can win the Premiership…

A latecomer to the tournaments Fox was pessimistic about any chance of making an impact at the tournaments and it was a weird debut. He beat TopLad, but dropped points against Mr A and Kami. Maybe in future tournaments he will learn how to beat both the best players and the lesser ones, which would take him further than his pessimism expects. Hope to see him in Fifa 18.

Shadow

Ranking: Joint 23rd

Tournament Record: GS

Chances of winning a Tournament in Fifa 18: Not a remote chance of happening.

Shadow came for one tournament ‘The Last 16 Tournament’ and was given a tough group with Sideshow, Hugo and 1man. He could’ve taken points off 1man in what were close games, but he was destroyed by Sideshow and Hugo. He never came back after that, maybe he is lurking in the shadows waiting to come back for Fifa 18.

Stringer

Ranking: 24

Tournament Record: GS – GS – GS –GS

Chances of winning a Tournament in Fifa 18: More chance of SNP winning a majority in Wales

A guaranteed six/three points (tournament format depending) for anybody who isn’t called Oscar, Nadz or Mr A. Stringer has propped up every group in every tournament he has played managing three wins and a draw. The last tournament of the cycle ‘The Championship Tournament’ saw Stringer finally put some performances together when he beat Oscar twice and ran Kent close. He’s also finally learnt how to communicate properly, so who knows what Stringer could do in Fifa 18.

I think my style of play suits Pro Clubs really, as I'm also a good ANY player, however when it comes to FIFA head to head Against seasoned FIFA players then I struggle and that has been the case since I started playing in these tournaments.

I've had the odd horraah, but nothing consistent enough.

Maybe 18 will be different? But with the reasons I've just statted, my older age, kids/work/relationship and other commitments then it seems like I could be heading back into back retirement rather quickly... I will try though I can assure you that.

If there was ever another PES tournament, then I think I would be a strong player...

But hats to all you guys, some of you know Fifa in and out and are top quality players 👍🏽
