Bobby

Just reads now an article in the Echo on Firmino. It seems he is very happy indeed being at the club, that Jurgen has been central to his development, that he want to be here certainly until at least 2020, and that the club is in the process of putting a new, improved contract in front of him.

For consistency over the last 2-3 years, he takes some beating. 19 goals this season already. When Couts wanted away, my fear was that either he would want to follow, or that one of the two Spanish clubs would come in with an offer that couldn't be refused.

As a Reds fan, for me, that's very good news. It would appear that Emre is headed South, good luck to the boy, I think he would have struggled to keep Keita out next season and has probably jumped befor being relegated to the bench. Bobby, after having bedded in so well, would have been a hard act to follow, a player who it would have been very difficult to replace.

I like Firmino, but I do think he is overused in games?

What's crazy is that anybody that's going to try and replace Bobby upfront knows they will have to work just as hard if not harder on the pitch. He is usually a very unselfish player for the team. So much so that if players around him don't also have that high work rate it sticks out.

The one problem he had that he needed to work on is his clinical finishing. This season he has 19goals and 10 assists in 35 games (Also to note 6 goals in 6 games in CL). Of course he can improve but from last season to this season he really has made a rapid improvement. If he finishes anywhere in the 35-38 range it will be an amazing achievement and give him the confidence to kick onto the next level.

Even Coutinho is apparently replaceable after Liverpool fans have spent the last few years stressing he’s world class and your most important player, but Firmino wouldn’t be replaceable?

Times change, teams evolve...., we’re in good hands with Klopp.

Talking of managers how’s tricks at Stanford...?

Do you think you will sell Sals to pay for the new stand?

Do you think you will be in the Champions League next season?

Salahs been getting the plaudits but without Bobby up top he wouldn't have had the success he has. Salah plays ahead of him and central when you look at the average positions they are in.

Great from Klopp to get best out of both

Basically any player that leaves Liverpool is replaceable and anyone who stays is irreplaceable

Two sides of the same coin. We say this, rivals say that, and those who are idiots can't see the logs in their own eyes.
