Sadio Mane

We all know that he isn’t at his best and I think that’s because of his change of role and at times he hasn’t looked sure, but since he’s got more of a free role he’s been more and more effective.

He always puts in a shift and he’s got 15 goals already this season and he’s only gonna get better!

Really hope he makes up for that card over both legs

Great return! if he finished the season well he could hit 20 goals, to have a front three who all scored twenty or more goals would be nice.

I feel Mane’s lost a bit of tenacity at times this year. He’s gone to ground a bit easily, looked to the ref for decisions and been a little bit more whingy in some games. Perhaps it’s a reflection that he knows he’s not finding his best form? However I love the Mane that is incredibly difficult to knock off the ball, just picks it up and runs for goal.

All that said, I’m still perfectly happy with his contribution. And I’m delighted that we know he’s got another level he’s capable of getting to.

I do wonder if Salah being so good this year means the team are looking to get the ball to him rather than Mane. At the beginning of the season it was the other way round.

The shift in focus to get Salah as often as possible on the end of all our moves means that Mane plays a more creative role than last season and he's good for it imo. He's better in the build up than Salah for me so if it was the other way around it might not be as effective (also this really small thing about Salah's finishing)

mane reminds me of michael own at times.

as in his idea of ball control is let it hit offf him over there someplace 5 yards away and runs and get it before the opponent.

he also reminds me of a mule kicking out when shooting as he's not idea where the ball will go at all. Neither does anyone else so he gets a lot of goals form keepers guessing the wrong thing.

Mane is awesome overall though... we can't all be Ronaldos.

Yeah his reaction time is probably on par with Suarez tbh.

Suarez was never the cleanest dribbler but was always first to the ball when there was any mistimed touch or dribble.

Jealous boots. Imagine having to play with Salah when thinking you are the no.1. Must be intimidating.

Mané is an enigma. He can play an awful game but still be effective. He's one of those players you keep as a starter regardless of form.
