Ridiculous question.

Unless your best players are replaced with better then you do what you can to maintain the presence of what you have.

I fully realise that amidst the plethora of numpties that frequent these forums that there are some real hardcore idiots. The kind of idiots that just don't get that.

United currently have only two CBs worthy of regular first team selection (and I shouldn't have to mention this, but they ain't Lindelof or Bailly). Always want better for my club, but until they arrive keep the good ones just to keep the average/bad ones out.

I'll add that if Axel is sent out on loan and we bring in someone like Alderweireld, it makes sense. Both Smalling and Jones have had their issues with injury. Alderweireld will be 30 and Bailly has been out last season for a long time. 4-5 CBs, give our luck keeping them fit, should be enough.
