Our favourite EFL employee ....

Is leaving the EFL.

Wonder what his parting shot will be where we are concerned or if a potential fiasco is part of the reason?

Perhaps he could get a lucrative CEO position at another EFL club and preside over another administration.

Good riddance to the man who presided over the darkest period in our history

Dark times indeed but there were a few bright lights from the L1 era. Minus 15 cleanup crew, Beckford era, promotion, Snodgrass, Becchio, Gradel etc.

It was dark in terms of our league position but the League One days were some of the best years I've ever had as a fan

I used to love those dark, cold (freezing) Wednesday nights in the JPT against Bury etc..... with 1/2 empty stands.

Should've hated those years, yet strangely I really enjoyed them. It's a strange one.

Seriously though that L1 team were something else but there was always an undercurrent relating to a bitter taste due to our record of never having sank that low before. - And for Mr Monaco to be involved just rubbed our noses in it.

Cant say I loved the JPT games but I had some great away days at Carlisle, Stockport, Norwich, Peterborough, Coventry, Walsall & Tranmere.

Add to that the cup games at skum, Spurs etc, it wasn't all doom and gloom.

Thing is, we won pretty much every week back then, no exceptions. I loved our L1 side. Wouldn't swap it for the season we've had with Bielsa though.
