Another Aguerooooo moment

I think both teams are going to win all their remaining games now and I can only hope for another photo finish with an Aguero goal in injury time against Brighton to win the league title. Imagine the scenes at Anfield.

I bet Pep must be loving this title race more than anyone. Its the first time he has had to face a team that takes the title race possibly into the last month. This is new territory for him and he must be loving it.Both teams are likely to hit 90 points and thats the level that Pep operates at.

A lot is made about the teams he takes over or his spending but he has smashed points records everywhere he has worked which is testament to the high standards he sets anywhere he works.

A quick look at their remaining fixture list and I am struggling to see where both teams will drop points. Liverpool have had their blip and will now see out the rest of the season. City had their blip in December and should also win all their remaining matches.

I simply cant see where city will drop points other than against United away and the way Pep has prepared for the games away at United (albeit in Jose's era) I can see them taking all 3 points.Suggestions that Palace or Leicester will do them are laughable to say the least. Comparing games during the December period and now when they have a full squad to pick from in the final stretch is ridiculous.

Should be an amazing end to the season though, something that will benefit the Premier league as a whole.

6 PL teams in the quarter finals of the European competitions suggest the quality of those 6 is high.
Cannot think of a league that is of better quality at the moment, Bundesliga is in a definite poor spell and La Liga is also not at its highest quality. Serie A has a lot of weak teams.

Not to mention 7th and 8th have made the semis of the FA Cup, and could get to or near the 60 point mark. With Wolves I don't think there's been a team outside of the top clubs that has beat so many of them in a season before.

The league is strong at the moment.

The whole league?

The bottom half of the league is the weakest it's ever been.

Huddersfield and Fulham are as bad as the infamous Derby team.

The whole bottom half scream of 'Championship'.

It's always been like that but clubs like Watford, Wolves, Everton (kind of) and Bournemouth are coming along nicely and starting to play technical football.

Not the whole league no. I already said that Fulham and Hudders are weak as pisss, even though to their credit Hudders took 6 points from Wolves. Doesn't stop the league being strong.

Bournemouth have been rubbish this season and I thought they'd kick on which is a shame.

Leicester deserve a mention of teams outside the top 6.

Yeah agree on Bournemouth. They need a reliable striker as Wilson gets injured. Play good technical football though.

Good shout on Leicester. If they make good signings this summer they could kick on.

Dunno about Lesta. think they've really regressed since the prem win. Got some decent players particularly in defence but so reliant on Vardy who aint no spring chicken

Front four is good. Maddison, Gray and Albrighton can all play.

I quite like Amarty as well.

Well, who was ever expecting them to maintain their form after the league win?

They have a decent squad, one of the better ones outside the top 6, and always beat the big teams from time to time. Brendan might make them more pleasing on the eye now too.
