Fielding a "weak" team

If Spurs go ahead and field a weakened squad against City this weekend, then the FA need to punish Spurs accordingly.

Remember that there is already a precedent which was set. Back in 2010, Wolverhampton were fined for fielding a weak team against Manyoo. Although United didn't win the title that year, there was outrage against United effectively getting free points.

Bottom line is that Spurs are capable of beating or taking points off City. If Poch fields a much weaker team, Spurs are bending over for City - effectively giving City a massive advantage.

They can obviously put out any team they want but I can't ever remember a team chasing top 4 resting players with 4 games left. Fair enough if they have a little rotation but calls for "play the kids" are nuts.

They are 3rd/4th favourites for the CL so can't rely on qualification there and losing out on top 4 could be disastrous in terms of player retention and recruitment.

They're (not all) basically desperate for us to not win the league as it will highlight them as nearly men who have been above us for ages but couldn't actually do anything even when the rest of the league decided to down tools and let Leicester win it.

No, we just understand that our squad are dead on their feet, so it makes sense to rotate for this game. Our best available team on paper are unlikely to get a result anyway, so we'd prefer if they're at least somewhat fresh for the Brighton game

Or, they're riding the crest of a wave and are pumped on adrenaline.

Fielding a strong team. Just minus lloris and Rose.
Dropping Trippier is a good thing.

Yep. I do think you could get something though, a lot of it depends on how Man City react. They could smash you and get it out of their system, or they could be very flat and at risk of everything falling apart.

Pochettino should be ashamed of himself for fielding a side that might help Liverpool win the league.

Let's hope that City beat them anyway

Hey spunker why don't you find a dictionary and get your mam to read the definition of the word 'if' to you.
