Is Rio, The Man for United?

Former England captain Rio Ferdinand has been named as the Football Association's lead ambassador for Euro 2020.

However according the the BBC he also confirms he would be still be also open to a return to United in the role of Technical Director and 'has had discussions along with Daz Fletcher'.

This rumour doesn't go away and the BBC are saying that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'is prepared to work alongside a technical director to "split responsibilities".

If this is so, I cant see any signings or new contracts been authorised this summer until a TD appointment has been made, if it is to happen at all.

Also could Rio really do both jobs at the same time?

Yeah, its Ed's fault billionaire owners have invested and rival clubs have finally amde up ground on us commercially.

5 of the 6 teams who finished immediately below United in 2012/13 finished above United in 2018/19.

Therefore, Ed has overseen United being caught up commercially and on the pitch by teams who we had a head start on. That isn't a sign of someone doing a good job to me.

What rival clubs have made up on us commercially?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal aren't outspending us. If we were buying players according to a coherent plan and managing them well, we would be blowing all of those clubs away. If you look at the expenditure:points ratio we'd be in the relegation places.

No one cares about what you are interested in. That is why no one has bothered to reply to that question.

What Ed shouldn't have done is extend Jose's contract.

You have had the answer to your next question explained to you before, by Elvis.

Thought as much.

The fact is, If faced with those kind of demands, Ed would be right to .over on from.thise players. You wont say that though as youd prefer to pretend Ed disnt back Jose.

The funny thing with that is that by insisting Ed didnt back Jose, without a shred of evidence, you are discrediting your other claims about Ed.

You don't think at all. It is your major flaw.

If Ed wasn't going to back Jose (which could well have been the correct course of action) giving him a new contract was madness. It doesn't show the control and planning I'd expect from a man in his position.

This site is so much more enjoyable without RDD hijacking every damned thread. Honestly, it's enough to make you not want to contribute an opinion knowing he's on the thread.
