I've watched the trailer and i will probably watch the movie. Although i cannot believe his original commanding officer is still in the Navy.........

Out of the the 2 films where their direct sequel going to be more than 25 years apart. I'd definitely rather see this over the sequel to Coming to America.
I think that's gonna be shockingly bad. Especially as I consider Eddie Murphy's only decent roles since the early/mid 90s to be The Donkey.

It's a direct sequel. Apparently it's to do with them trying to find their son who's scarppered to America.
Not even sure Arsanio Hall is gonna be in it.

Kelly McGillis hasn't aged well, she easily pass for Maverick's gran.
Will definitely watch it but I highly doubt any sequel could match the original. At least I hope it's not the disaster that Independence Day 2 was.
