"So is it me? Four goals in the World Cup, three weeks ago I scored three goals in two games, and before that we played Switzerland and Iceland in September and I scored four goals in two games. I've scored 48 goals for my country.

"OK we all know that international soccer is different than club football but the playing style we play in the national team is the one we want to play at Man United.

"So is it me? Or do we need to have a conversation from man to man and tell each other the rules?"

"I think a lot of stuff has been said, where I didn't feel protected," Lukaku added. "A lot of rumours, 'Rom is going to go there, they don't want Rom' and nobody came out and shot it down."

"If you're happy, you find a way, it doesn't matter if you're on the bench or starting. But nobody told me that was the situation, so I thought for two-three weeks to analyse, see all this **** coming out in the media. Who leaks it? Not me. Not my agent. I see it on my phone come out of nowhere

"I told them it's not good for me to be at a place where I'm not wanted. We're not stupid. They consider us dumb, but we are not dumb, we know who is doing leaks and stuff. I told them, you can't be working like this, it’s better for me to go now."

So he claims he was singled out and then names two other players, one of whom has been possibly the worse signing in the clubs history.

He claims he could play in the system Ole has set up at United as that's the way he thinks Belgium play.

He also accuses the Club of leaking news about him leaving despite he himself saying/posting things that would lead the press to speculate he wants to leave.

"My impression of Lukaku is that he lacked self awareness, always had an over inflated ego and a falsely high opinion of his own ability, he’s going a long way to proving that with these comments.

Here he is, boasting about scoring goals against Switzerland and Iceland, but scoring against fodder is his thing. I’ve seen Belgium play without Lukaku, they’re a better team without having to carry him and his many limitations.

Any criticism aimed at him was fair, considering it was mostly because of his fitness, laziness, or poor first touch."
