Forest V Boro Match Thread

Wednesday night [why?] 1900 hrs K.O.

This match thread could well be titled 'Forest versus Colin.
Neil's singular redeeming feature is his theatricals on the touchline after he's lost. One of the most pleasurable experiences of a prior difficult season was watching Colin during our 4-7 demolition of his side some years ago.

He was 'at it' again after losing 0-1 to a well drilled Aitor Karanka Birmingham team last time out.
Time passes but it doesn't seem to touch Warnock, his hair stylist should be congratulated on a wonderful job; my only slight criticism is that his hair seems to be sliding over the back of his head, or is his forehead starting to bulge as he morph's into a Klingon? Does that explain his tactic's?

Back to the smoggies, they've had a thin time of it during January, their last success coming predictably against Wycombe at the start of the month. Wycombe I should add have enjoyed a miraculous rise up the League even if the Championship is proving to be a division too far.

Middlesbrough are sitting just under the playoff playoff places with a healthy +9 G/D. Goals are spread evenly through out the strike force: Watmore 5, Johnson Akpom Assombalonga 4, Saville Tavenier 3.

Forest will need to build on the confidence that their unbeaten run has generated to win this game. They're starting to play with some fluency at last and will need to be switched on through out.

Thing is, the manager should be instilling a sense of responsibility to those 11 that take the field, after that the Captain should be leading by example and drilling every player that doesn’t pull their weight - I can’t imagine Stuart Pearce (as Captain) allowing any of these players performing to such pathetic and woeful standards - why isn’t the Captain demanding higher standards from his players

Rev, there is no way a striker can be captain, surely Worrall should have the armband. The captain should be either a central defender or DM, but none of our DM’s are up to it. A striker is too far removed from play, Shearer was maybe an exception, but he certainly was exceptional anyway. We are crying out for a box to box midfielder who can create, a Lansbury type player. As usual we take one step forward and two back, I sincerely hope we don’t end up in a relegation scrap as I doubt we have the bottle for it. Millwall was probably our best performance this season, tonight was almost totally the opposite.

I hate to think about the smirk on Colin's face.

Looking at replays it looks like Brit bit Ribs and that's why he reacted.

If that’s the case then Britt should get a lengthy ban

I agree that the captaincy should go to Worrall (or McKenna).

But I'd say it is two steps forward and one (or maybe half a) step back. But that itself follows a short bus ride back in the first six months of last year

If that is the case Ribeiro should say so.
