I don't usually get time to watch many TV shows, however recently a little downtime with work allowed me to catch all 3 seasons of Narcos on Netflix. It was a bit strange for me because i've never quite understood why Pablo Escobar is idolized by so many in our culture, to be honest the guy is evil, but I must say it was outstanding. Seasons 1 and 2 are the best, the last 3 episodes of the second season are pretty much as good as it gets and then season 3 is just decent. It misses the Escobar influence. The actor, Wagner Moura, who plays Escobar is outstanding and very talented.
Great watch.

If you like Narcos you should watch Snowfall too - on iplayer. Set around the same time but focuses on the crack crisis in America. Unlike narcos its not strictly a true story (as the characters are fictional) but its kind of based on true events.
One of the most underrated TV shows around.

Spot on very underrated show mainly because it ended up on iplayer. Goes well into how the CIA bought the drugs into the US.
Another show in a similar vein is Startup which also is underrated.
