World Cup should be branded’EURO CUP’

It is quite funny though how some players really big up their origins but have no problem defecting to a better football nation. They never defect down do they? Like Luxembourg or something.

Its not funny because its possible to be proud of your roots and happy to play for the country that's given you everything else at the same time. In fact, that's a human beings default status.

Is there some rule that says it must be one or the other?

I’d go this for 2026 (though 3 concacaf will be automatic so not sure how it’ll work)

3 host places
16 Europe
1 Oceania
8 Asian
10 South American
8 African
2 Concacaf

And for 2030 give more concacaf places and alter accordingly
