If Italy had won, wouldn't they have have had to play Portugal? 5 African teams will go to the world cup, which is plenty.

If you want the best teams, the majority have to come frmurope and South America, end of story

To make it fair, Africa should get 10 slots and Asia 10. Europe should also get 10 get 10 and Americas 8 due to huge countries there. Then we will not watch good teams like Nigeria playing Ghana to decide which gies to World Cup or Cameroon playing Algeria where one will unfortunately be locked out of so called ‘World Cup’.

Asia have good teams and Africa have great teams that can beat any European teams why the fear if you want real competitive World Cup.

Salah, Mane, Mendy and Mahrez could walk in any European starting lineup that’s my point.

Because the World Cup is being extended to 48 teams the extra teams should all come from Africa and then have 2 groups of 5 African teams play each other with the group winners progress to the next round of group games where the European teams don’t need to qualify for because there are so many of them.

It will never happy because FIFA hates Africa but this was more African teams compete at the World Cup

It’s not really their fault there aren’t that many countries in South America. In a World Cup of 48 teams it would be silly to only have 4/5 South American sides considering how important that continent has been for football

Not sure they would give 10 spaces to CONMEBOL (South America). There are only 10 teams in the confederation so that would mean they have no been for any qualification and get automatic positions regardless of whether they play any games at all.

True but with it being 48 teams you’d think logically they’d increase South America’s allowance to more than 4/5. Even if it’s 6/7 then it’s almost harder not to qualify than qualify 😂

Why 16 European teams unless you want Kosovo and North Macedonia and Wales in World Cup. UK should only have one team not four ffs. NI is it a country? Wales ffs is it a country or province? Scotland maybe can be a country and that’s debatable because of low population
