Well no. I gave an appraisal of the game yesterday which incidentally is wholly accurate and you can't even say otherwise and yet you're happy to see me called bitter for it. Is telling the truth bitter now? No, it's not.

You then proceed to talk about football from nearly 29 years ago like comparing yourselves to an antiquated style is somehow a good thing

Seems pretty obvious youre unable to take accurate criticism of your football team. I'd suggest growing up.

I never said it was a good thing! When have I said our football was good! It’s functional ! That was my comparison to benetiz ….that was it

Please take a look at my posting history….I criticise my own team and players a lot ! Probably too much so yes I can take criticism as it’s just a game

However I don’t think last nights performance deserved Criticism and that’s my opinion doesn’t mean it’s right but I’m not arrogant enough to state ‘it’s accurate’

I said earlier in the posts we can agree to disagree but you seem to want me to agree with you and I won’t and I don’t expect you to agree with me either but you won’t let it go

So's transfer spend. Completely pointless without taking outlay on wages into consideration. Not to mention that most figures are unconfirmed, don't take into account additional fees and bonuses, and usually quoted with or without add-ons and extras as convenient.

Net spend has as much relevance towards costs as net goals do to points. There’s a slight correlation but it’s only a small part.

Tend to agree with this. In fact there is far more of a correlation between wage spend and success than transfer spend I believe. Could be wrong on that.

Bigger salaries equal better players equals more success

What players cost is not usually a factor in the wage they command ….it’s all about ability …

Hate to be the one to say it but maybe Benitez started with a defensive/countering set up then as he shaped his team made it more expansive?

That's what most good coaches do it isn't a coincidence it's being smart. So really both arguments are true. Liverpool did score loads of goals when Benitez was there but they also had seasons where they didn't, cos he was starting his project.

Few Liverpool fans will deny the team evolved into a more offensive threat once the defence was solidified but started defensively.

It seems to me that Spurs are up for big games like City & Liverpool... but not for the smaller teams... hence dropping points against Brighton, Brentford etc...

We should treat every game the same... 100 % in every game!!
