Forest or Luton

The relegation battle for the final spot seems to be a nail-biter between us and Luton, assuming Sheffield United and Burnley are almost certainly down barring a miracle.

If it weren't for the looming points deduction, I'd be more confident about our chances to stay up. It's this deduction that could very well decide our fate, tipping us into the dreaded drop zone.

Nottingham Forest's Road Ahead:

Liverpool: Loss
Brighton and Hove Albion: Draw (1 point)
Luton Town: Win (3 points)
Crystal Palace: Draw (1 point)
Fulham: Loss
Tottenham Hotspur: Loss
Wolverhampton Wanderers: Win (3 points)
Everton: Loss
Manchester City: Loss
Sheffield United: Win (3 points)
Chelsea: Loss
Burnley: Win (3 points)

Initial Points: 24

Additional Predicted Points: 14

Final Points Total After Deduction: 32 points (after a 6-point deduction)

Luton Town's Premier League Journey:

Aston Villa: Loss
Crystal Palace: Draw
Bournemouth (first encounter): Loss
Nottingham Forest: Loss
Tottenham Hotspur: Loss
Arsenal: Loss
Bournemouth (second encounter): Win
Manchester City: Loss
Brentford: Win
Wolverhampton Wanderers: Win
Everton: Draw
West Ham United: Loss
Fulham: Win
Starting Points: 20

Gained Additional Points: 14

Concluding Points Total: 34 points

To conclude, with the adjustments made, Nottingham Forest are set to finish the season with 32 points after accounting for the 6-point deduction, while Luton Town is expected to end up with 34 points.

Therefore, we might need just one or possibly two more victories to offset the impact of the deduction and secure our Premier League status for another season

Watching the game and it feels like déjà vu. We're still struggling with the same old issues—defending set pieces, especially corners, is a nightmare. Every missed chance upfront just ramps up the pressure even more. And I've really got to question some of Nuno’s choices today; the subs, especially Tavares coming on at such critical moments, just didn't seem to help at all. Watching Origi and Yates out there, struggling to make an impact, makes me think it's time Dominguez starts. The game against Everton will be tough and I just feel that Luton have more fighting spirit and the teams they are playing are on the beach.

Sheffield Utd - relegation hopefully confirmed next match.

Luton have spirit and the teams they face are on the beach ?

We need to beat ShFU and Burnley !!

Sheffield United went down as expected, but there are too many variables to predict whether the mighty Reds will stay up. Great 2-0 win for Wolves against Luton on April 27, 2024, though Burnley's late surge is getting a bit concerning. So, assuming all 4 clubs get 4 points from the remaining fixtures, we stay up. A point tomorrow against Man City would be massive.

So only a 2 nil loss to Man City.

We have to beat Sheffield Utd.

Hope my worse fear doesn't come true and we get 4 points from the next 2 games to be safe.
