It's All Over For Football campaign

I know that many will be disappointed by this, but I have decided that unfortunately it is now time that we bring an end to football.

As David Mitchell once prophesied, "There are old scores to be settled at The Dell. Scores like one nil and two all that have happened in previous years" before adding, "it is impossible to keep track of all the football" and "every kick of it massively mattering to someone presumably".

I've now realised that what David was really getting at is that football doesn't actually really matter. It's just chasing a ball about a field, and watching it week after week year after year, is completely futile. In fact, I've come to realise that David was right; football is just a complete waste of everybody's time.

I am therefore proposing the following measures:

*Professional football to end with the 2026 world cup
*Grass roots football to be phased out by the end of the decade
*All goalposts to be removed by 2032
*New footballs banned from 2035
*All footballs to be confiscated by 2038
*
-Creating a 'goal' with miscellaneous items of clothing or by painting on a wall, and
-kicking an object along the ground
to be criminalised by 2040

Thank you for your support and understanding

All it means, is that their will be all of those footballers (louts some might say),out of work and standing on street corners with nothing to do but kick old ladies who are out shopping ,or terrorising the young mothers on their council estates ,not to mention stopping genuine out of workers who can't get near the dole office ! .......I mean !

It would be good if when football is banned in 2040 the government introduces a new sport named ballfoot. This would be a sport where grown men run around and try to throw balls at the feet of other grown men.

If the ball hits another frown man's foot then the team get 1 laog.

The team with the most laogs wins

I appreciate there will be a lot of grown men getting severely injured in this sport. Many men will sustain severe injuries to their feet. As the ball ruthlessly hits the man's foot I am sure they will fall to the ground, writhing in agony anticipating that they will need to have their foot amputated.

But through the bravery of our sportsmen I am sure they will still play ballfoot and this will become the world's new dominant sport.

Of course we must focus on cancelling football first

Have not thought of this. Thanks.

Might have to ban all balls unless they are small green and soft or small red and hard

Can I still play Football Manager? Got as high as tier 7 with a team starting in tier 10 and really want to get to the Conference North (old version of FM) one day.

I fully support this and suggest we also engage an army of University professors made redundant by all their students using Ai to create a research team to capture all the social benefits of people not watching playing or investing in football that your progressive measures will create

Be very careful my friend, if such a study happend in real life, the results would surely mean the end of football and we could be happy. Who wants that?
