Vote 1 for Andoni Iraola - Doing good things with Bournemouth. Lost Solanke to us in the summer but if anything look like they've improved. 8 points better off from where they were this point last season. Notable wins against Arsenal and City.
Vote 2 for Thomas Frank - Like Iraola he lost a key striker at Brentford and similarly not missing him much with a current top half position. Has kept Brentford in the league for 3 and counting seasons now, which should be seen as an achievement with the way promoted clubs almost immediately drop back down again. Been scoring for fun at home with 20 goals in their last 5 games.
Vote 3 for Graham Potter - Plays a brand of football that people like to see. Was doing a good job at Brighton and had them top half prior to leaving for Chelsea. Poor spell at Chelsea but came in at a hectic time in which his hands were tied behind his back while his owner threw money about like he was Brewster's millions. Out of work and would probably jump at the chance to join us if we're honest, more than any other potential manager.
Voke 4 for keeping Ange - Currently 11th with 7 losses and a run of 1 win in 7 in all competitions. Does he deserve more time with better signings?
Vote 5 for Other - Any better options out there? Could Alonso be tempted next season? Before you laugh Ancelotti went to Everton, Emery went to Villa, and Conte came to us.
Next manager choice?

Harsh on Rodgers though. He has done enough to prove himself more worthy of being put in the same bracket as Gerrard. What he did at Leicester is still a good job.

What were you left with? - A league cup and FA cup, CL qualification in his first season.
If Ange goes, what are we left with ?
There is no indicator that Ange will turn this round. Name the last manager to turn things round after a start like this - you will basically have to go back to Fergie and he was a complete one off. It never gets better from here, never.
We have fans who weren’t willing to give much better managers time, but will happily watch us drift towards a relegation battle for Ange - blows my mind
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you not seen our current predicament?
Have to admit I'm surprised how many of you want Ange out.
Understand the frustrations, but your squad is nowhere near the top teams, much like ours. Don't know what you're expecting outside of playing some good football and finishing a bit higher up the table.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It may be nowhere near the top teams, but it’s not the 11th best either.
It’s doesn’t matter how you look at it - he has underperformed

In all of this, what i am still not certain on is this.
We need a better squad That's beyond question and really to complete the sort of overhaul needed, there is a need for at least the next 2 windows to feel like we have the depth.
So if we add a quality CM and Wide attacker, and replace Richy because he's a sick note. And then have a quality CB and LB to back up and push the first team, then we have the ability to keep things fresh and seek consistency.
BUT, loads of teams play with more or less the normal core XI players, and do not drop off as significantly as we do. So is Angeball just impossible to deliver in a highly competitive league because it demands too much of the players too often.
Kulusevski is the perfect example. A monster player who runs and runs and who is our key player. But he cannot do that game in and out. He will fatigue massively. Last season he had amazing running stats, covered more ground than anyone but his form completely dropped off, with many others.
What i have seen again this season is players looking tired, intensity dropping off and the system failing as a result.
SO is that because the squad isnt deep enough (and to be fair we have been bare bones in recent weeks and players cannot be rested), or is the system never going to work because it is too demanding in a long, hard season, unless we have a squad of 20 interchangeable top class players
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I just don't think the way he wants to play is ever going to suit Tottenham long term or most teams in the PL. We had our short term fix with him, that was the first 10 games. It's all been downhill from there as opposition teams have grown weary to the style and worked us out and as you say, fatigue and injuries have kicked in more regularly.
I would have to assume it's extreme naivety from Ange to think this was going to pay off in the PL and for Spurs. It calls for a slightly more pragmatic approach, someone who can keep us an attacking team while better organising us with more flexible tactics depending on the way games pan out and who we play.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It worked at Celtic because he had the best players in the league in every position. It didn’t matter if they had an off day as 9/10 they would still win. It didn’t matter if they occasionally couldn’t get a result over the line - because no one was good enough to consistently challenge them.
He could run those players into the ground knowing that he could still change 5 of them the following weekend and they would still beat Ross County.
It doesn’t translate to the Prem - Steve Gerrard won the league with Rangers and then nearly relegated Villa again - look what Emery has done since. Brendan Rodgers effectively relegated Leicester but he is a runaway success north of the border. Celtic are basically mid table Prem standard - Fulham. Rangers are Everton standard and then Aberdeen are Southampton. You then have 2 solid but unspectacular sides in Hibs and Hearts who are like good championship clubs - say Norwich and WBA. After that it’s Crawley town level - absolute shiete on a stick. Ange’s players virtually had off weeks because St Mirren couldn’t beat Celtics third choice 11
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes I've said the same thing about Celtic and the SPL. Ange can get away with it there with the Mickey Mouse standard. SPL is closer to the Championship in terms of quality and as we've seen many managers just fail in that transition.
Harsh on Rodgers though. He has done enough to prove himself more worthy of being put in the same bracket as Gerrard. What he did at Leicester is still a good job.

You'd still have to pay the man his dues for winning the competition. All managers are going to be relying on their players to help them out and if they're winning league titles, then very good players at that.

At one point I wouldn't have minded him as our manager. I think that ship has since sailed. There are managers better suited to taking over now.
