Ange

Give him the rest of the season.

Good win tonight and we're into the quarter finals. 3 teams to overcome in order to lift a major European trophy and qualify for the Champions League.

We're in absolutely no danger of relegation and we have a realistic chance of going all the way in the Europa League.

If we give Ange until the end of the season we can see if he follows through on the bold claim that he always wins a trophy in his second season.

If we fail and don't win it fair enough. But for me if Ange leads Spurs to a European trophy he's a club legend no matter what we do in the league.

As for Ange, Ive always supported him getting the rest of the season.

Performances have to improve. Yes, we prioritise the Cup but we also need to turn up in the league and start to show what we are capable of week in and week out.

Only that way will we see if Ange has what it takes. A cup win alone isnt enough IMO because our last cup was under Ramos and he was a disaster. We've had better managers who have failed to win a trophy, so it should not be treated as the only benchmark.

If we remain in poor form but somehow still scrape a Cup win, i would want Levy to be as ruthless as he has in the past, if its required.

I hold doubts about Ange and still need convincing he's the long term solution and that starts at Fulham, who are a well coached setup. We cannot just relax because we're through and safe in the league. That is 100% the weak mentality that has plagued us for years.

He’s clearly not the solution.

Well done the lads, well done Ange, much needed win.

Great for confidence.

Genuinely excited by Europa.

Frankfurt next. Will get a chance to see what the hype is about Ekitike.

Feck the league. We won't get relegated so it would be AMAZING to make CL next season.

I would allow Ange to resign and send him off a legend rather than sack him.

Why would he resign after just winning a major trophy and qualifying for the Champions League? 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Coz he is shattt in the league.

Being 9 points away from 17th place, 28 games into a season is UNACCEPTABLE for a club with ambitions like Spurs.

Presuming we still have ambitions.

Billy Nicholson was closer to relegation than Ange has ever been. I suppose you would have wanted him sacked as well?

It's very difficult to attribute how much of this season and our current position is down to injuries or the coach.

We may have kicked on and improved had we had less players missing, or we may have continued to be hit and miss.

No one can say with any certainty so IMO it is unfair to judge.

We certainly can start to properly judge now, and I expect Ange to pick teams good enough to win league games and not just rest and rotate, prioritising the cup and use it as an excuse.

He has a largely fit squad so there's no excuses now and fans are fair to judge him on all the remaining games. Every one should be seen as important as the next one.

Yep. No excuses now. Nearly every player back. Let’s see what he can do for the next couple of months. If things do not improve drastically, then on to the next one to fail under Enic.

He will get his time while he's in the Europa but honestly I'm not expecting the sort of upturn in form I want with these injured players back. Already I wanted better than 1 win in our last 4 since more players have come back into the fold. Yes we got 3 wins before that but given the opposition and performances it wasn't much of a statement.

Most top half level opponents tend to cause us problems, whether home or away. I'll be more impressed if we manage to beat Fulham away tomorrow after a midweek game than any other result for a while. Realistically I don't expect much though from our next 2 games or from the rest of the campaign.

You say one win in our last four since most players have come back. Not true though us it. Micky and Romero have only started one match together of those four. S match Spurs won. Kulu arguably Spurs best player is not back. Richarlison Spurs 2nd best striker is not back. And most of the returning injured players have barely played 90 minutes since they returned. Judging a manager on the past four matches is ridiculous. Obviously you dismissed the three previous wins as it did not fit your agenda to say Spurs won four, drew won of their past seven since players were starting to return.

I mentioned those 3 wins and as good as it was to win 3 in a row it wasn't that big a statement. United at home and Ipswich away we should be beating anyway given where those teams are. We still conceded too many big chances to them and rode our luck. Brentford was a good win I admit.

It was all too short lived though. This is the thing, more players coming back and all we've got out of it so far is 3 games unbeaten a month ago and since then another couple of losses, a draw at home to Bournemouth that should have been a loss, and the one win against AZ. It doesn't convince me.

We shall see anyway now we have VDV and Romero fit again and playing more. Losses should not come to us so frequently with the team we have now, do you agree?
