Marco Silva being announced imminently….
A little underwhelming if truth be told. Apparently Frank will cost the club £10mn.

Angry that our club is a laughing stock again going through another rebuild? Na it’s all fine

Such a tricky one to get right, we’ve always chopped and changed managers and Ange didn’t seem like a project guy tbh, footy was awful a while. EL was great but can’t ignore the rest

Who ever gets the job I’ll get behind but he’s got a hell of a job to follow up a European trophy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
An easy job to follow up 17th place though.
He shouldn't be under the sort of pressure that he's expected to win something in his first season but if we get another good draw in a cup competition and avoid facing anyone too difficult, then yeah we should look to win it.

Off course he’ll be under pressure. You don’t sack a European winning manager to then let the new guy get a free pass.
Although the pressure should prob be more directed at the board I suppose

Well all managers are under pressure. I only mean he shouldn't be expected to win a trophy in his first season, if that's what you are suggesting? That would be silly. It should be about improving the league form and yes, if we can get a trophy as well, an excellent bonus.
Ange and Levy may have got a get out of jail card with the Europa win but the standard of performance that was set over the course of the season was very low, thanks to all that horrible league form.

If we're going by historical achievements then Silva has more trophies than any of the other candidates, and Iraola's career pre-Bournemouth is lousy.
And yet Iraola would be top of my list, while Silva would be bottom
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Iraola is a younger up and coming manger who plays modern football. Frank is in his 50s that doesn’t have a distinct way of playing.
Will we be okay with Frank sure he’ll get us top 8 probably as would’ve Ange imo but that isn’t where we should be aiming for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why woyldAngehave got us,top 8 this season when he got us 17th last season?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Clearly We have been hamstrung by injuries and targeted the Cup even once players came back.
Am convinced Ange would have got better with better players and he has clearly learnt he needed to adapt his team when the right personnel was not available.
Any fans thinking without the right backing the managers being mentioned will light up the top 4 are delusional.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Q, Why would Ange go from 17th to top 8?
A. Because fans who think teams can get in the top 4 without proper backing, are delusional.

Tottenham had similar injuries in 2024/25 (in terms of instances of injury and in terms of games missed) btw to Arsenal.
I know those figures don't tell the whole story of how a team is affected, but worth bearing in mind.
