Remember a bit ago they had the guy who is agent for the Grays, Shackleton and a couple of others on square ball and he basically said that agreeing personal terms is actually easy and most of the time its a mere formality or is even sorted before the bidding is done

Milky, an upgrade on Gruev yes of course but that's a very low bar
We need more starters to improve the team

I know he runs funny and passes sideways. But Gruev is positionally and defensively sound and generally tidy in possession. Not his job to do step overs and score 10 goals a season. Do I think he’s a PL starter? No, but under-rated by the fan base and done a decent job for us. Our away record with him in the team was I think significantly better than tanaka/rothwell… though undoubtedly the fact he was generally paired with Amps will skew that.

I was quite impressed with Ipswich's Hutchinson in the England U21's and I thought he could be a possible replacement for Solomon for about the 15 -20 million bracket but just seen Ipswich are demanding £35 million for his services which for me is way too steep but Brentford seem keen so they're welcome to him as I think we can possibly wait till near the window closes to get Solomon back for £15 million if Spurs don't want or rate him as highly as we do or what looks like there are 2 or 3 Spurs left sided players above him in the pecking order.

He played in the majority of the Newcastle's games last season and has done for several seasons, knows what's needed in this division.
At the moment he is our only proven midfielder assuming the transfer goes through and you lot are talking about him not being good enough.
Tanaka and Gruev have never kicked a ball in the premier league and Ampadu has played one game.
Experience counts for a lot, I'd be starting him ahead of the other three.

Famously he was relegated from the PL that season because it was a core point in Jonty's back to back relegation hysteria.
