I know a lot of you won't believe me but I just saw nicky butt driving through emley. No I'm not saying there is anything in this but do you think there is a chance? Last I heard he had gone to china to play. Don't know if I would want this signing just letting everyone know.

Difference between Clark and Poyet = 1 whole division
=================
Its probably 2, because I suspect Brighton were as near as dammit at the bottom of the table when Poyet took over.

I reckon Town should change our colours to all black until we get promoted...sort of reflective our our collective mourning...

Successful Football management also involve a large a slice of luck and Poyet had far more luck than Clark last term, especially in avoiding injuries to some of his key players.
Regarding the luck factor don't just take my word fo it, but how many managers can you name who have done a very good job at one club and then moved on only to struggle - there are loads of them out there.
As for Town we have made good steady progress under Clark:
2010/11 - 87 points - 3rd in league.
2009/10 - 80 points - 6th in league.
2008/09 - 68 points - 9th in league.
You don't have to be called Einstein to deduce that next season we'll end up as Champions with in excess of 90 points.
In Lee Clark I Trust.

Mirf, after your efforts last season, you're about half as believable as those Moonies or even the Mormon door knockers.

the problem with that "progress" is the pace of it...
3.5 seasons to get out of League 1 (assuming the progress continues as you say) is too long...
How long will Elsie be given to get us out of the Championship if he actually manages to get us there? 5 seasons? 10?
With the amount of funding available to him we should have been a Championship club last season (we weren't). We should definitely have been a Championship club for next season (we aren't). That means he is failing... luck doesn't really come into it, at the end of the day we had a squad that was good enough to go 25 games unbeaten in the league... it should have been good enough for autos... sadly, it wasn't!
