i reckon rhodes will leave for 4 million in may

thats 6.5 million plis 1 million in future parachute payments, thatll nowhere near cover his players signed of compo

In the last 9 days we have played 4 games...
Losing 3 and winning just one...to a team that has already got promotion, so they played their second team....

we have about 7/8 players who just either cant or wont do enough in the 90 minutes that they get paid for..

I used to believe it was "cant" now im not so sure.. Whatever happens they are still being paid and they still should have some "personal pride"(i dont count footballers as professionals, it gives them a credibility they certainly dont work hard enough to have)..

I think clark should have checked more than their teeth when he signed them because he has unknowingly signed a number of "GELDINGS".....

we lost mcdermott..genuine quality there..just needed bringing on..

we lost hegginbottom, genuine talent and some pace and something different..

the club lost and farmed out those two players..

we had a left back who was coming on well..we farmed him out and played an elder statesman with serious and ongoing injuries..

we have messed about all season with different combinations of centre backs and central midfielders..and we still are??????

we have had 3 years where we brought in one player with genuine pace.. he had problems but the other team always knew that the pace was there and had to cover it accordingly..

if we dont pass it quickly or score from a set piece we wont score.. it wont come after a slow build up and it wont come from sustained pressure on the opponents goal..(cos we rarely have any)...
clark never got it right, he hung on to the unbeaten run whilst allowing the performances to slowly get worse and worse.. grayson cant get it right in the time and players available..
stupid thing is, we could be almost promoted now with the points we have thrown away after leading in games..
Thats how poor this league is, and that my friends makes it worse and harder to take..

Don't knock the facts l list just because you can't come up with a logical argument against them. Lets face it, you never accepted LC from day one, when your started your one man campaign to have him removed.

If you don't agree with any of the points I make why don't you come up with some genuine counter arguments? - I'll tell you why, because you can't and this is the reason you post such rubbish comments as above.

So Boots, If LC was as bad as you have always tried to make out, how do you explain away 3 defeats in 55 league games, 87 points last season, 80 the previous year, best away record in league One last season etc. etc.

I don't remember anyone questioning the "Quality" of the squad before Grayson arrived.

The writing has been on the wall for some time, maybe whilst Town had a chance of an auto spot, the fans have kept their peace.

andy its the quality of the squad thats always been the problem

its the application within the squad thats been the problem..winning 2-0 and 3-0 and not seeing it out was a very sure sign of some deep seated problems..
to be winning at stevenage(at that time) 2-0 and looking comfortable was no mean feat.. dropping off and just allowing them to have the ball and all the play was the sign of a lack of spirit and leadership etc..

followed by bury, the alarm bells should have rung very loudly in graysons head, they certainly did on here.. he virtually kept the same team who rewarded him with a dismal home draw, a cr-p win against hartlepool and a scrappy win against chesterfield.. the win against charlton was a tough , hard fought one against 10 men and a charlton forward line who looked so uninterested it was odd..
Colchester scored for us and missed a penalty and we lost quite easily against the wendies..
All the above could be remedied, but the total lack of any performance or effort or skill yesterday is the biggest indication of the downward spiral of this squad..
If you go down, go down kicking and screaming not without even a whimper.. it bodes badly for any play offs.. Im still not 100% convinced that we wont have a fight on our hands to get into them..

Wasn't the biggest criticism of Lee Clark that most on here said something like...
"Hoyles given him all that money to compile a squad of high quality players"

You can't argue that he couldn't manage a team of quality players, then say they were all rubbish anyway when another manager does a lot worse with the same players....

the quality of the opposition hasnt changed, but their attitude to us has..
they no longer back off when we do and take the draw..
town can certainly be beaten, by anyone who wants to push on and try to win the game..
we dont have the quality in the squad to win games without matching the opposition for effort and application, thats all..
