It's a shame how the final memory tends to be more weighted. Kind of overshadows what has otherwise been a great season.
Just gotta wait a bit for this to settle down. I'm sure I'll get the season review DVD for Christmas
Matic should be no more than a back up

So along with those quotes it looks like Costa is staying. I would've preferred to flog him to China for a lot of money but as long as we sign another striker to provide some competition this isn't too bad.

Costa kissed the badge after his goal. The guy loves it here imo
If he wants to stay then keep him but if he wants out we should get rid of him. A lot of top strikers available.
-- Despite playing only 29 minutes, Fabregas made 29 passes, more than Nemanja Matic made in his 61 minutes on the pitch (28).

Kessie would be a better fit in midfield then Bakayoko, he's off to Milan though.

Is this one weakness in the fold? Is Conte an excellent league manager but poor cup manager? Didn't do anything for Juve in CL in 3 seasons and they made 2 finals since he left in 3 seasons, but they've won 3 coppa italia's (italy fa cup) in a row, and he won none in his 3 seasons.
Imagine we'll get an answer next season

Don't know why we took Costa off towards the end. He looked like taking the whole Arsenal defence on. Soon as he went off, Cesc was useless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
don't think it would have made a difference, but you are right.............he was excellent today apart from missing that last chance
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We must have been watching very different games. Until he scored his lumbering touch, whining and pointless fouls made him worst player on the pitch.
I watched the game with a relative in hospital today, very weird atmosphere....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
With Costa I just don't think you are abl to see what he does when playing well. Maybe you are looking for aesthetically pleasing passing and goals or something?..........I don't know.
But i saw a player yesterday bringing others into play in and around the pen area, holding up the ball well, out muscling defenders and making a a complete and utter nuisance of himself in a Chelsea team where the majority of players were just awful.

Whilst the complacency argument can be true, for example I felt agst Palace when we scored early the players acted as if its was "here we go again" and Palace punished them.
I also think it can be a very lazy throwaway line used as part of our blame culture soceity.
There are many other reasons why teams don't perfrom on the day.
Also, Arsenal put in by far their best performance of the season. They did everything that they are not associated with, pressed, run their socks off, defended with bravery, they were absolutely superb yesterday.
Don't know why we were so poor yesterday...hard to put your finger on why we should capitulate when on for a domestic double
Was it pressure...we've been dealing with $puds for the last three months who are vastly superior to goonz...but they turned up on the day somehow
Disappointing to say the least

Maybe we are not quite as good as we think we are? Admittedly Spurs created not many chances in the semi final, but they were for the most part the dominant team.
I think we have much improving to do so and losing yesterday, especially in the manner that we did, may well be a blessing in disguise.
Alonso and Moses were made to look like the players we feared they were right back at the beginning of the season.
Matic (has been better this season than some think) is not good enough for a starting place.
We need at least 3 or 4 top players next season plus further attempts to successfully integrate Ake, Chalobah and RLC.
Paul Nuttall....Well he clearly has a great understanding of what motivates these people to bomb and kill, what a thick twat......

I am not opposed in principle to death penalty for terrorist acts, but wouldn't want in a court system thatg works on a majority verdict system.
I dislike UKIP and Paul Nutttall, but it is true the death penalty is a popular policy, and aside from the lunatic quote of "I will do it myself if I have to", none of what he says there is that crazy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is the point of the death penalty? It won't deter?
There have been loads of studies on this and the results are conclusive that people who are going to kill will irrespective of the DP.
With the Islamic fundamentalist terrorists dying is the aim anyhow...............so really not sure why the DP will deter them?

...in other news....we lost
Looked like our end of season break started when we won the league tbh.
Very few of them looked up for it yesterday. While Arsenal were better, we did very little to challenge that.
Still, the season as a whole could of been a lot worse considering how we did last season. Get the right players in and onto next season
