Biggish why do clubs have press officers then? And why wouldn't clubs just cut journalists off completely then if all they do is make stuff up? Clubs could just interact directly with fans if they wanted to and they would have a far wider reach if they did.

Also read a Matt Law article after something major happens related to Chelsea. They all say exactly what I would expect the club's board to say about basically everything.

I don't think they did.

I highly doubt they want this story out there. It could be nonsense but based on everything else and generally when so many different people have reported on Conte's not total happiness at Chelsea, I'm inclined to believe Conte is seriously considering leaving next summer.
