Not guilty. Still amazes me to this day.

Yup that's an innocent man right there. Probably thought he was leading the police to the person he thought had murdered his wife. Give the man a medal.

If they don't give Lampard time then his appointment makes zero sense. He should be our manager minimum 3 years

Yup this could be one of those moments we look back on in future years and realise how pivotal it was.

Even if Frank's only real achievement is bringing through and properly starting the conveyor belt that brings so many of these very talented young players we have into the first team squad then he'll have done something very significant here.

I would be excited by ragnick to be honest
he is reveered in germany and plays excellent football

in regards to the ajax boss, i am a lil bit excited by him as well. would make sense if our only remit is youth

lampard would still be my first choice but i am unconvinced this will happen still and its certainly not as advanced as the media will have you believe

Benitez also still being talked about

current odds on sky

Frank Lampard
1/20
Rafa Benitez
9/1
Jose Mourinho
14/1
Erik ten Hag
18/1
Massimilano Allegri
18/1
Nuno Espírito Santo
18/1
Diego Simeone
25/1
Eddie Howe
25/1
Javi Gracia
25/1
Laurent Blanc

Van Basten.

I agree with what most people say on him, he hasn't really got any track record.

He got Holland playing some fantastic football in my opinion, and he did an ok job with Ajax, and had he of stayed in the game after that i think he could have been pretty succesfull. Don't think he would have made it to the Mourinho level etc, but i think he could have done pretty well.

So i'm going to guess that the signings we are after have probably been talked over with the new manager who ever it is, and then Guus has advised on which ones, and now down to Roman and De Visser to pick and make happen.

I find it kind of interesting that there's this assumption that Lampard must be either all or nothing. For me the most likely outcome is that Lampard will be a fairly ordinary manager. Some good points and some bad points. Doesn't do anything revolutionary.

i think its a case of All or very disappointing rather than all or nothing

Well I think that is certainly true at this early stage of his managerial career, and his playing style would probably reinforce your view. But over time who knows. It is also worth noting for those that see him purely as a manager for youth that he was a key o!d guard player that brought down AVB. He has been quoted several times that young players have it too easy these days. I can't see him subscribing to guaranteed playing time for any player. He has old school roots.

Frank Lampard is facing a potential conflict of interest as Chelsea and Derby County compete for his services for next season, with both clubs also chasing the signature of the defender Todd Kane.

The 25-year-old right back is out of contract at Chelsea this summer and Derby are one of several Sky Bet Championship clubs to have offered him a deal, after impressing while on loan at Hull City last season.

Kane has rejected a new contract at Chelsea, who allowed his three-year deal to run down, but his stance could change if Lampard takes charge at Stamford Bridge. The former Chelsea player recommended Kane to Derby last season.
