Things are gonna get worse before they get better
We're not exactly building a squad to win trophies, it's more to gain profit from buying these players at a young age with hope they live up to the potential so we can sell down the line.
If CL isn't a priority then why did we choose to not get a sponsor this season? Basically threw away £30-40m in revenue. If we're still a conference league team next season, how does that materially change our attractiveness to sponsors?
It actually makes me mad just thinking about how idiotic this ownership is

First time since 2021 that we’ve gone a whole game without a shot on target
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably first time since then that we haven't been able to field a recognised striker. Go figure.

Not great.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We’re going backwards. Early December we looked unbeatable - this has all happened so quickly
Sad thing is that not one player looks like if they’re in any sort of form. Every player looks lost. Not sure how we get out of this rot.
Sacking Poch was a gamble. He wasn't great but we were finding a bit of form (and could've used summer to strengthen). Hiring a manager like Maresca wasn't a sufficient upgrade (if an upgrade at all) to make it worth it imo
——
This sentiment sums up most of my issues with those in charge.
If you can’t get a clear upgrade on what’s already there, then don’t tear it apart, spend a huge amount on replacements and then expect fans to be patient.
A lot of time and energy wasted and yet we’re not any better off than when they first arrived.

Yup we're not going to benefit by winning trophies etc as a result of this. Only ones that will benefit is the owners using us to make money.

It's up to Maresca. Otherwise what's the point in paying him millions every year. He's not a babysitter (regardless of how young our squad is). It's his job to find solutions when the team are struggling
Brighton pulling our pants down, kind of used to this feeling tbh

Been 3 months and his solutions are pretty much non-existent
Ownership are shet. Maresca's not great. And I don't trust the club to find a decent manager even if they did sack him.
Not a brilliant situation by any stretch

We'll just go after this Brighton manager or Iraola
Palmer and Caicedo are the only people at the club who I can currently hold a positive opinion of. None of the other players or people in charge are praiseworthy or giving any reason to feel encouraged.

Yup. Those are the only players who are good enough - maybe along with Cucurella. Lavia and James could be if they were ever fit.

We have never looked unbeatable. You cant look unbeatable when you cant keep clean sheets. Many of those games we won, we could have drawn or lost. Now, that is exactly what is happening.

Yup. We were very much a moments team. I think there were maybe 2 or 3 matches tops that we dominated from start to finish and looked comfortable throughout.
And even in those we rarely properly punished our opponent

Mourinho turned us from mediocre to the best in the world
He can do it again we need the elite to take us to the elite again
Him & Ohsmein bit of Nigerian power and we’ll win the title next season
It seems to me that the club is dead against improving the squad by buying players. Instead, it wants the current squad to grow/improve as a collective. Like an incubator investment fund.

Clueless strategy. Spent £1.2 to £1.5b on potential. Would’ve been wiser to buy a spine for the team gk cb cm cf. Alarm bells rang when they bought Auba. Gone from bad to worse. Can’t be bothered to list the many errors and bad buys/appointments.

Definitely taking Cole Palmer out of FF next week. He's just pointless now. He's got nothing around him and he's costing me too much money
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was thinking the same this morning but decided to give it one more week after all after losing to Brighton last week there was an opportunity to get some revenge. Got that wrong.
