Excuse fat fingers on my phone but hopefully you get the gist of what I said
My opinion is we will be loaning simmons out next season
I'll reiterate that he was deemed not good enough by Barcelona and psg
Garnacho is premier league proven, and until last season was seen as a huge talent

Pleased to get Garnacho done. Think it'll be looked back on as a steal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm very dubious about that. I think he'll be looked back on as a disruptive influence in the squad. Very happy to be proved wrong on that though
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ask a precocious talented winger to be asked.to play in the most ridiculous tactically inept system that amorim plays youd be unhappy
Hell be a starter for us for sure
You need to chill mate
He was regarded very highly before amorim took over.
I think we have mugged united right off here
This isn't like sancho (another one who looked a world beater in the bundesliga) and didn't perform at United
Even sancho was decent for us
Garnacho is different. Im willing to have a friendly jet that he will prove to be a very good signing for us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry but I'm highly sceptical, both with his attitude and his ability as a player, think he's been very overrated by some. But his attitude is definitely the most worrying thing.
More than happy to have a fun ja bet with you that he isn't a very good signing
I don't see any of the players in this discussion as worthy of much enthusiasm nor a meltdown.
It's just about getting one more player for depth if Nkunku, George and Jackson all go.
Personally I'd be open to just keeping Jackson

But I rate garnacho above gittens

This is a bit disingenuous. Simons left Barcelona as a teenager (16) to get more opportunities to play. Since then, he’s developed a lot as a player.

A good league to develop in as a young player as the likes of Haaland and Bellingham can attest to.
Why did we prioritise Garnacho over Simons
Seems like the biggest concerns with Garnacho are his attitude and horrendous finishing
I’m not sure either of those two things will be fixed
Got into double figures in his last two seasons for a poor United team, if he can achieve something similar for us, I don't think that's that bad for a winger.
He's still a kid at 21, attitude can hopefully improve in the right environment and under good management

His attitude I can see past given he's at the worst case of a culture of d!ckheads club. I'll trust the club have vetted him properly there. It's his ability as a player I have doubts about.
My experiences of watching him have been an electric breath of fresh air for United in 22/23, and nothing but trash since. Sort of player who once you back off of him neutralizing his pace, he's got nothing else to fall back on.
Assuming I've been unlucky in the United games I've watched, as he does have good stats, I know from what I've seen he's got the capacity to have absolute stinkers. The worst case was against us last year (the RVN game), he was so bloody sh!t in the match.
A lot of the Utd fans think he is brilliant tbf
It kind of sounds like we have signed Nani tho
Seemingly high potential
Decent return
Worldie goal in him
Flatters to deceive despite the above

Why did we prioritise Garnacho over Simons
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because they're looking at things more from a money perspective than a football perspective in this instance. He's seen as an asset they can get on the "cheap" who could potentially increase considerably in value.
Worldie goal in him

This part I like, and he certainly does.
That overhead kick vs. Everton was flith
my understanding is as well that his shot volume is crazy
Time to bring Kobbie Mainoo home.
“It’s not only Xavi or Lopez, the world doesn’t end at Fermin or Simons, Chelsea have more options. Friday is the day to decide for Chelsea on Xavi Simons”
(@FabrizioRomano)
Spurs agree £51.8m fee for Xavi Simons. Spurs want deal done today also on player side + medical in the next hours. Here we go, expected soon.
(@FabrizioRomano)
Oooo
thats not even as much as i thought it would be too
i guess if he does want us he will stall like Kounde and Raphinha did
Good deal at £52m. Let's see who we move onto next. Fermin Lopez doesn't want to leave Barca.
