Replaced by who..? More Coyle signings on a lower budget maybe in a lower division...

I don't see how our team can improve if we go down..?

Now you're asking me to get my crystal ball out. I've no idea who we will look to sign in either scenario, I do know there are some 30+ players who need to be shown the door, and some key players returning from injury for next season. So that's good enough for me to postulate we will have a better team, even though I don't know for sure, I am confident I won't be watching the likes of Knight, Robinson, Jussi (in this season's form), SKD/Klasnic (maybe one but not both) next season.

I agree with that assessment LH, but I'm not as hopeful as you that the team will be better.. Like you said, I'd need a crystal ball!

Problem is your laying the blame at the door the players only. How many of this shocking team are coyle signings? Ask yourself if he has built this team why on earth do you trust him to make it better

Out of the players I named, Petrovino, only Klasnic is a Coyle signing. And by the looks of it he got the contract length spot on.

Coyles signings.....

That's definitely another article..

You were wrong in general, Petrov, I didn't say it was all the player fault, did I?

How many of this shocking team are coyle signings?

Answer this question. The easy run we have had has seen little of these useless thirty something's and lots of the useless coyle signings

largehat, I will gladly display whatever you wish I my username, because it would mean we have dodged relegation.

Forget it it, I'll keep it until the first match of next season.

Why didn't we loan out Sordell after signing him..?

I've actually had the same number of minutes game time as Sordell at the Reebok..

Petrov - we can spend all Summer reviewing this season and pointing fingers. For now, I'm making a positive statement about next season, not playing the blame game. We are not down yet. There's nothing fearful about playing Stoke at the Britannica at the moment. We can survive.

That's all good and well LH, but we've had people on here saying there's nothing to fear with Norwich, Swansea, WBA and Wigan at the Reebok..

You don't get to be in the bottom 3 after 37 games by being unlucky. We aren't good enough. Terrible in fact...

So yes, many see Stoke away as a difficult challenge.

And I still have a mental issue with them since Wembley!

sorry MT....

the Wheater injury counteracted the introduction of CYL.

Its still 2 haha

The comment by coyle that with Holden fit we would be midtable is as bad as the below derby comment by megson

posted on 6/5/12

Oh no Danny lad, we've had those 2 listed all season... You ain't trading a Lee for a Wheater!!!

MT - not really that bothered what others have said about previous games/point scoring/finger pointing or anything else other than Stoke away in 7 days' time.

You have to admit it's not like we have to go to a top club and win, is it?

We are not down yet. I think I am being fair in pointing that out. Others have every right to differ.

I also agree that no matter what division we are in, the squad will be better...

Losing Robbo, Knight etc is one thing and one thing only, a beautiful thing for the club!

Having a bunch of 32+ year olds earning more than anyone else in the squad is finally coming to an end. The worst players this season have been Robinson, Knight and Steinsson for me.
Klasnic has scored a few goals, but overall hes been awful, looks as if the only thing he cares about is whether his hair will still look good at 4.45 on a Saturday.

I cannot wait to get rid of these players and have around £100-120k of wages to work with...or save!

posted on 6/5/12

Can i make a late trade in of a Mears...hes obviously better than Steinsson...

oh the injuries....

the shame..

Bogdan
Mears Ream Wheater Alonso
CYL NRC Holden Wylde
Sordell Ngog

That would win the Championship easily imo.

You're right LH, but people have said that week in week out for months.. We've one more chance..

I'd be amazed if we stop up now..

HH

All you've done is bemoan the players listed.. WHO IS GOING TO COME IN ANS MAKE US BETTER?

If we go down, we'll get 10% of that saved budget at most... It will be bosmans from Derby not £4m right backs.. Will that make us better or financially better..?

posted on 6/5/12

It might do but it will need someone to be able to organise them to defend. Even BSA has found its not that easy. Coyle is so tactically inept it's untrue. Add to that Holden may well be gone in jan and we all know how good Owen is without them

posted on 6/5/12

I think anyone is an improvement on Steinsson etc etc.

I have said for well over a year i think those 3 are the worst players in their individual positions in the PL, and Bolton's performance with and without them speaks volumes for that..

Id rather have a bosman from Derby, than the £4m right back that is Gretar Steinsson.

I will always bemoan those players because i think there are much better players than them who would cost alot less.

posted on 6/5/12

But to say I'd have anyone is just watering down your argument..

I don't actually think Steinsson is as bad as you describe either... I've never seen a right back put Bale in his pocket like Steinsson ..

But MT you fail to recognise that defence of coyle sometimes shuns reality. It has to!
