@tenez
Yeah but what about Berdych unable to convert his own game points when it matters!!!!
--------------------------------------------------
Its not easy at all for him on this kind of court. Unless he hits 3-4 superb winners all in the same point, its almost impossible to win for him. Ferrer will likely to do better against Nadal on this surface. Too slow for a shotmaker. Only grinders can thrive here. Keep rallying and grinding, shomakers will get passed or will make errors.

Whats with all Nadal bashing that goes on ja606?
Can't you guys just credit Nadal for his never-say-dying attitude and his hard work?

Well it was easy enough to get to 4/2 and have 3 or 4 points of 5/2 on his own serve.

I am afraid but that is another typical case of Berdych choking, including 2 DFs in that game.

I know that they have added pressure to close games and sets versus Nadal due to teh fact that they get tired and lose their edge as the match goes on....but Berdych chokes more than others and that is a well know and documented fact.

We will have to agree to disgree there.

Trouble with Berdych's plan was going too often to Nadal's FH, a tactical player Berdych is not, but he might do some damage at RG again if his heads right.

Ah... went out for a while and missed that part. Came back to see Nadal won in st. sets. Yes Berdy has his issues with dealing with pressure situations. Thats what keeps him below top-5.

we watch tennis for different reasons, and btw, all players work hard.

It coudl be good to go for hif but he needs to hurt him and I didn't see Berdych FH being that deadly today.

But that's normal cause the ball comes with so much spin and high bounce that it is difficult to flatten it out. Which in turns allows Nadal to stay in teh rally.

However teh Djoko I am now watching seems certainly able to handle Rafa.....despite being broken!

I know choking is not a nice word...but like moonballing, sometimes we have to call a cat a cat.

I was an avid tennis fan before Nadal came on the scene, so I can choose to hate his style/personality if I choose. Some Nadal fans sound like they didn't watch it before Rafa was winning.

=============================
That's so true. But how someone with such a gutless game, playing percentage tennis, can gather so many fans is a mistery.

JosiahM I too was a tennis fan before Nadal but back then I used to like Andy Roddick and I didn't like Monica Seles in ladies.

Haven't been here for a week and just logged on as I thought I might, just might, find someone giving Nadal some credit for his superb play today, but no. The bashers are out in force.

Ronaldinho, don't even bother with these guys. Do what I do and just have the occasional read. It's a hoot listening to these so called experts spitting out their dummies every time Nadal wins.

Tennisfan. I am a Feds fan but congratulate your star on his victory today
He is the King of Clay, always has been and I will bet a months wages ( quite a lot in the norwegian oil industry) that he wins both this tournament and RG. He knows exactly what to do on this surface, always has had, and it is a pleasure to watch him dismantle everybody
Enjoy your victories.
