Good move, he's good backup and can cover 4 positions. Got great potential too

So, you would rather sign him than give Kakuta a chance?.

Don't see the need, may aswell just offer Kalou a new contract. He won't improve us in the short term, will fill a spot in the squad more deserving of someone like Kakuta, and the quoted 10mil Wigan want is outrageous (he is no Valencia).

Don't rate Kakuta, too much of a luxury player

Don Mata

Moses is a worker, i'll give him that, but only to the same degree as Kalou. He won't venture back into his own half for 90 mins.

The same degree to Kalou is good enough. In fact if his work ethic is like Kalou's then that makes the transfer even better. Moses is a great with the ball at his feet too. Could see Robbie getting the best out of a player like him

But then why not just re-sign Kalou?

I'm so wary of players which come with the tagline, 'great with the ball, just needs to add that end product'. It's amazing how that end product remains unattainable to so many.

Kalou doesn't want to sign, if he did i wouldn't have minded keeping him. Moses has shown what he can do towards the end of last season and with a better team we can get the best out of him. Pretty sure we also tracked Moses form his Palace days before he opted to go to wigan. Shows he's got a smart head on his shoulders too

Good end of season. Not seen enough of him really, to judge.

I'd prefer signings we weren't going to lose every 2 years tbh. But we've usually coped quite well in the past.

Yes,Moses would be an excellent astute signing.
We are set to come in with a £7-8mil bid in the next few days according to reports which will seal the deal.

Emanelo or whatever his name is getting Moses because of same country...simple as that

hmmmm, dunno. Kalou looked a steal while he was in Holland. Walcott & Bale took years before living up to their Southampton form (Walcott's still somewhat patchy). Moses himself took awhile before proving himself an asset, along with quite a few others at the back end of Wigan's season.

Moses is home grown too.

7-8mil Chelseamf is suggesting is getting more accurate.

Kalou was proving it in Holland like you said, the difference is Moses is proving it in the PL already. We know he can hurt PL defences, just ask Arsenal, our own defence, United's etc. Moses didn't really have a prominent role at wigan either till this season

That was part of my point. Di Santo was hurting PL defences at the back end of last season + Maloney was fantastic aswell. He didn't stand out among the crowd in that respect. I dunno, i'm wary.

Wouldn't be avidally against it, the money's not extreme, i just see us all here in six months saying how frustrating he is.

posted on 23/6/12

He would be a decent addition, but I wouldn't lose any sleep if he went somewhere else. We have better players with better potential already here, Marin, Kakuta, Sturridge etc.

posted on 23/6/12

Wigan fans do say Moses can be frustrating. He's also very selfish on the ball(I don't mind that too much but it seems to annoy alot of people on here)

posted on 23/6/12

Moses would be good because he is a direct winger, which is something we haven't got. So he could be brought on to change the game, like Kalou used to do.

posted on 23/6/12

Kakuta doesn't have better potential than Moses, but thats just my opinion. Thats also why i see the appeal to Moses SDS, he's a direct player which is what we're lacking and we could use him along with Marin to add something different.

TP, that happens with a lot of our players tbh
