Not enough damage for a 10-8 in Rd 1 surely?
Gutted, Chael looked knackered after the failed takedowns in Rd 2 and Anderson pounced... I was hoping it would be shown that the first knee to the body was an illegal knee to give Chael an excuse, but, alas, the better fighter won...
10-8?
Lying in your opponent for 5 minutes without one significant strike does not constitute a 10-8 round.
The main event was a complete flop. Sonnen took the cowards way out, but what would you expect of someone of that class?
No idea why you like him Milfy.
The 2nd round of the fight was probably one of the greatest moments I've witnessed in MMA.
Silva literally made Chael look like a chump without too much effort, complete and utter embarrassment.
Chael made himself look a chump with that ridiculous spinning back elbow attempt.
That was hilarious
As soon as Sonnen couldn't take Silva down (not with a power double nor with a judo throw) he paniced, that's was the begining of the end.
I'm disappointed with how the card went. I think mainly because I wanted to see some near ninja style knockout from Silva similar to what he did to Belfort.... Is a flying, spinning back-front kick off the cage too much to ask....
Also very disappointed in one of my heroes, Forrest. Don't get me wrong, he deserved the win but his antics afterwards really took the shine away from what was meant to be Tito's moment to shine.
I loved the finish from Silva, he literally stuck his hand into Sonnen's face like a father does to his son, and the nacionalist git went down, he saved himself from further beatings.
Not the first time Forrest pull a stunt like that, when Silva embarrassed him he ran out of an octagon, the crowd was chanting RUN FORREST RUN!
That's the thing, I wanted to see Sonnen destroyed and Sonnen quit before Anderson could properly deliver. What next for Anderson? He is literally untouchable.
I know it's not the first time he's done it, but Tito deserved better.
It will be Lomard or Belcher but both stands a statistical chance against him.
Silva looked a bit knacked after the first round with his hands on the cage, breathing hard. I think Chael was well on top until he that daft spinning elbow.
All Silva needed was a mistake and he capitalised on it, the guys a legend.
Silva did the business last night, but Chael was either:
His real non elevated testosterone self
or
Had no plan b
His striking is decent, so i dont know why he folded once the fight went to feet. Silva needs to retire now though. He is getting old and the only person who can take his record now is himself.
Belcher? Absolutely no way should or would it be Belcher. He's an MMA journeyman. Imagine Dana trying to sell a PPV with Belcher as the main card! He's had his career high in beating Palhares but he will not fight Silva as there are way too many people ahead of him.
Munoz and Bisping are ahead of Belcher.
Lombard is untested in the UFC. Bellator is a very weak organisation.
Rashad to drop to MW???
Rashad vs Silva would be awesome, he should consider it because as long as Jones is a LHW there's no chance he will be the Champ.
Ah ya, forgot about Munoz, he deserves a title shot IMO, hope he wins on Wednesday.
I like chael, "cedric" for the sheer fact that he knows how to make silva look ordinary... so what if YOU don't like to see one man lying on top of another in a show of sheer domination, some of us enjoy watching exactly that!
Anyway... ahem... swiftly moving on...
Unfortunately the TRT-less chael ain't got enough gas, to be honest he was beat by bisping a few months ago! But i like him, he's interesting, so hope he sticks around for a while... the trouble is what's left for him now? Wait for silva to retire or switch divisions I guess...

thank goodness sonnen got beat - just wish silva would've beat his ass more for all the crap he talked. But sonnen is irrelevant now, so whatever - he can go to WWE maybe, if wwe will take him

Result appealed!
Quite right!
Silva greased himself in Vaseline, grabbed hold of Sonnen's shorts on numerous occasions & knee'd to the face when Sonnen was grounded.
Sonnen's corner couldn't sink any lower, they are embarrassing the sport right now:
- grase? It was wiped off by the ref
- shorts grabbing? Ye, tha's gonna get someone disqualified, everyone does it.
- knee to the face? It was to the chest which was proven over and over again.
Sonnen should ask himself where did his heart go, the guy basically quit.
People need to google "silva knee sonnen chest"
People need to ask, what did grease have to do with Chael failing to do a spinning back fist and landing on his rse?
